My stove arrived today! It came (almost) exactly as ordered. I ordered a 36” dual fuel in matte graphite with oil rubbed bronze trim and got exactly that. Yay! However, the self-cleaning panels I ordered did not arrive with it and when I spoke with Hallman staff today it sounds like some accessories ended up on a different container and will arrive later. I ordered it on 3/28/18 so I think that's about an 18 week wait plus a few more for the panels. This isn’t a big deal for us since we are slowly putting our kitchen back together and that is taking us way longer than anticipated anyway.
What I can say so far: It arrived in a box on a pallet so it was easy to get open (unlike our sink which came in a ridiculous wood crate nailed and stapled together). It was delivered curbside so unless you’re impressively strong, plan on having some help to get it in the house. The shipping notice said it weighs about 340lbs, so minus the pallet/packing materials it’s probably around 300lbs.
Some initial impressions: I ended up choosing this range over others primarily because of how it looks and I have to say it looks even cuter in person than in pictures so I’m very happy on that end. The stove overall seems well built and no scratches or dents upon arrival. The knobs, top bar (towel bar maybe? But don’t ask me why you’d want to cover your cute stove with an ugly towel), and oven door handle seem to be made out of some sort of lightweight metal, but the buttons on the timer are definitely plastic. The top/towel bar that runs along the front flexes if pulled on in the middle since there is no center brace on it. I could see this being an issue if you have small children who pull or hang on it. The oil rubbed bronze finish definitely leans more yellow rather than coppery. That was one thing I could not tell by pictures since they all looked a little different. The matte finish still shows fingerprints but not as badly as some stainless steel I've had before. Seems to wipe off easily. The grates that go over the burners are easy to remove/place so cleaning should be super easy on this thing (that is, once the self-cleaning panels arrive).
Some surprises: There was a metal ilve “lasagna” spatula and a turning spit oven attachment in the box that I was not expecting to come with it. The stainless steel griddle plate that can go over the center burner is surprisingly HEAVY. Will need to be careful not to scratch the countertops with it when removing or cleaning. It comes in 2 parts; the big sliver griddle (the heavy part) and a vent piece that goes behind it that it rests on.
Wish I could give you more, but we probably won’t have it hooked up and running for a week or two since we're still in the process of running electrical and leveling/tiling the floors. I will post another review once I am able to test out the functionality, but here are some pictures for now! If there’s anything anyone wants to know about the stove physically or a specific or better picture of something let me know!
