The bleaching agent used on the flooring is a custom mix by First Last & Always, a San Francisco based company that specializes in custom flooring. Unfortunately, they won't reveal their secrets to us, but I highly suggest looking at their online portfolio to see other beautiful flooring finishes.

No purpose in reinventing the wheel. Search at the top of the page using the term "loba invisible", "bona classicseal", "bona naturalseal" "bona nordicseal"and "bona naturale", five of the products that are often recommended. You'll find lots of comment and even some after pictures.

All water based finishes MUST HAVE a sealant when used over white oak. It isn't the "finish" that demands this....it is the WHITE OAK that demands this. The Nordic Seal is the sealant. If this is used, then there is no need to add a sealant to a sealant. It is best to work within the same chemical family/producer. The Bona Traffic HD is the non-yellowing option. It comes ultra matte. If you want to work with Loba, you will have to purchase and TEST a section first. https://www.loba.de/us/products/waterborne-finishes/2-component-waterborne-finishes/product/2k-invisible-protect-at/ Loba has a new 2K Invisible AT. THIS IS THE PRODUCT you want to look at. The A.T. stands for Advanced Technology. This is the CERAMIC INFUSED polyurethane technology that gives the Loba EXCELLENT scratch resistance. It is almost as tough as Aluminum Oxide. Almost. It misses it by a snick. A hair. If you want the "natural" look of the invisible but the TOUGHNESS of the 2K Supra AT....then go for the product that gives you BOTH: 2K Invisible Protect A.T.

Thank you for your question! The floors are 6" quarter sawn white oak. They are not satined. They were finished on site first with an oil-based Bona sander/sealer and then with 2 coats of Bona water based finish on top. Any hardwood floor supplier can get this species and size of flooring. Good luck!
