THIS. Translucent glass lets shadows through the wall. Just beautiful.

this one's ceramic. I can wash it! Also no special fittings needed...just a standard drop light (tho it's quite heavy so needs to be well supported). Salima Ceiling shade. 25 cm high, 25 cm diameter, 25 cm drop. £60 each. Two in each room? MUST cost up totals for all lights

DO like this John Lewis light. Warm yet neutral colour. £150. Would only need two I think. Soren Glass ceiling light - large is 30 cm high, takes a 40w bulb.

Similar to the polo globe. But clear, obvs! Minimum drop of 60 + 29 cm (ceiling to bottom of glass shade), maximum drop 190 + 29 cm (ceiling to bottom of glass shade). Light is 29 cm high, 32 cm wide. Costs £150. 2 in kitchen, 2 in dining room, if we can figure out two cables w moulded ceiling?

John Lewis Polo globe celing light. I have a feeling I'd prefer this if it was clear...£190 H 34 cm by diameter 40 cm. 60 w bulb. No mention of dimming.

I just love these big sloping picture windows...bringing the sky inside.
Lights on the wall above the bed - pretty cool.
