42", extends to 60" long, butterfly table like all the rest. Comfortable size for my space but probably won't seat eight.. $1,200 is also a comfortable price and would leave money for buying two to four new chairs and rebuilding and reupholstering my four parson's chairs. Not as contemporary but might work better with my four rebuilt and reupholstered parson's chairs.
Wayfair $2,000 47" round, 65" extended All man-made materials in taupe and grey. The shape is contemporary, would be stable , and seat at least 6, 7 or even 8, I think. Unfortunately the reviews, though generally positive, say some middle portions are a different grey than the rest of the table. Could be returned but who wants to go through all of that nonsense.
46.5" round, 64" extended And the bottom is man-made so that will moderate the amount of wood here. And a pedestal will limit legs, if it's stable, so that I might be able to cram 8 or even nine around it. But at $7,200 it's way too expensive
