Note solid overhang at base just a bit, would remove need for bevel.

Note the darker bottom. Possibly the base, just on these 3 sides could be darker also? Could make that feel that feel like less of a “top” and ,ore of a “base”.

A thought to consider - rather than painting back of shelves, consider painting behind the TV a darker color which may make the TV less of a black box focal. I’m not certain, just a thought.
