The roof is constructed from synthetic slate. Initially we laid out the pattern in a computer model. We then refined it once we had obtained physical color samples of the synthetic slate we planned to use. We then met with the roofer on site and reviewed the pattern, mocking it up with the roofer to confirm we all understood how it would appear.
