The warmth of walnut cabinets and gold hardware provides a mid-century appeal.

We both love to cook, but didn't want the heavy feel of certain high-end ranges (e.g. Viking, Wolf, Thermador) - we also didn't want a stacked oven drawing attention to itself. These appliances are hidden from view if you are sitting at the bar or at the dinner table.

We use a warm 40 W bulb in the light shown above the tub to create intimate mood lighting. Hidden behind the tree is the thermostat for the heated tile.

Landscaping aeriel view. The deck is covered with a floating installation of porcelain pavers. The spacing between the tiles allows water to escape, so the tiles are installed perfectly level on top of a sloped concrete patio.
