maybe keys can be hidden behind a picture frame with hinges like a bathroom mirror or an ikea hack with mug hooks screwed into a hinged double pic frame, or a decoy basket or box on a shelf to hide keys, a tichel, or a bowl for loose odds n ends. I would want the keys hidden from sight though

Ikea makes this floating shoe rack with a shelf on top that might work.. maybe with a rubber tray underneath for muddy shoes. We might only need half this size-for 4 pair shoes- the dirty ones and a pair of slippers if u think muddy dirty shoes are a regular thing in the area
