Posting a picture of the whole space would be a good idea. it looks like you have space on the right for an end table can you pull the sectional forward and place a sofa table behind it that would work for the adults and the kids could then use the end table and if you have space for one at the other end even better. Either of these look pretty solid the addition of some wood might be a nice thing but the drawer could be handy too.
