Writer Lorna Hordos suggests removing a yellow tinge this way: Wash your cupboards with a fizzy mixture of 1 cup vinegar, 2 cups warm water and 1 tablespoon baking soda. To keep cabinets white, give them a monthly “bath” with a solution of warm water and a grease-busting dish soap.

The kitchen was designed around the owner’s large collection of metal pitchers (around 90). They line the upper cabinets.

archway to dining room The wood ceiling is a tongue and groove with "v" groove boards made of poplar, painted. The spacing you are seeing between the boards is around a 1/2" "V" of the boards. Beaded board could produce a similar approach. The spacing between the decorative beams was around 5' which felt appropriate proportionately for the room. They can be created with rough 2 x 6 or 8s with applied 1x with or without a beaded edge and a small crown to finish it off. Let us know if you have any questions or could use assistance!
