My Projects
AFTER: I wanted to design something that looked nestled in among the rocks and with plant material that wouldn't require allot of water. 12 truck loads of dirt from a local pool company and rock from a cul-de-sac down the street. Dominant plants are myoporum ground cover, yellow lantana ground cover, westringia wannabe gem and fruticosa and California pepper trees. Tucked in a few loquats in the front courtyard surrounded by french lavender.
AFTER: I wanted to design something different as a pool water feature in combination with a pool refurb. My husband and I recently traveled to San Miguel de Allende and I was inspired by its vibrancy, so I designed this 26' wall. The waterline tile is a cobalt/rust Casablanca tile, the exterior of the arch is a Talavera I found in Mexico and the interior of the arch (18" thick) is a dark blue 1"X1" aquascapes koyn. Had a smooth plaster applied and then matched the paint to the darkest color in the talavera tile. Water bowls are really for plants and were purchased at a local nursery.
Update of landscaping growing in.
