Plank Flooring
Pulled up carpets in a friends house and put down these plank floors. The entire project took 6 days- which included a bit or work on the subfloor.
2 products that are awesome for this are DuChateau and these Portofino Oak floors. These products are hard wax and oil as opposed to Poly- so your house smells like wood as opposed the the chemical residue you have with a traditional pre finish. The color is Sienna and its a Horizon Floor product.

Office has a simple banding around the edges and its set at an angle to the door threshold- with 7 1/4 base moldings- really a clean look. A single center board as the room is small. These Portofino oak floors while still pricey, are from Horizon and a less expensive alternative to Castle Combe and DuChateau- without sacrificing beauty!!
