Blueprint From Behr I really like Behr’s selection. Blueprint packs a punch without veering too dark or bold. It’s a good choice for those who crave a bit of drama in a room but still want to keep things fairly neutral. Blueprint has a healthy dose of gray in it, which is what gives it softness. Use this hue in your bedroom or living room or whatever space you’ve deemed your chill-out zone. Just keep in mind that it might feel a bit too chilly in predominantly cold climates.
etropolitan, is one of those light gray colors that seems to constantly shift from gray to green to blue. Metropolitan from Benjamin Moore As you can see from these two different photos of it on the walls, the color changes depending on the light and other colors in the room. It’s a very adaptable hue, so you can work almost any other color in with it. I also like this as an alternative to basic white, which is often used as a default color for all walls in a home. Metropolitan offers the slightest hint of color while remaining a quiet backdrop to other colors, textures and decorative elements in a room.
Gorgeous ‘Greige’ Gray has been the new white for years now. But not all grays are created equal. “Greige,” a pale gray with a beige undertone, is one of the most versatile colors for staging. Essentially a pale taupe, greige is a cool, sophisticated hue that can elegantly complement and add depth to a mostly white room. It’s great in both large and smaller spaces. If you go with a warm gray siding color, you have lots of options for the coordinating trim and accent colors. Just remember to use vibrant colors for details you want to stand out, such as your front door. Conversely, paint less attractive items like your downspouts or an unsightly garage door the same color as the siding so they blend in. Gray shades run the gamut from cool, silvery blue-grays to deep, dark charcoals to warm, brown-tinged hues. The best way to evaluate whether a gray falls on the cool or warm end of the spectrum is to gather up swatches of various grays and place them next to one another.
