If I go with tiles, the tiles should be laid in this pattern and I think they should the long axis should be east to west to the long axis is parallel to the wood floor boards.

This is Plan B: This tile but only rectangles that are 12 x 24. in the regular brick patterns. The floor should look "rustic" and more as if it's a screen in porch / outside then inside. I want to to have the feel of the floor of an old Scotish castle.
This is also the bathroom tile.
