LOVE this kitchen! The backsplash is glass & stone tile but a very rustic style...sort of "shaggy" around the edges like your current stone backsplash, but I love the GLASS in it--cool. It looks amazing with that granite, which is a different color than yours but about the same "busyness." Maybe you could find a similar backsplash in your granit's colors. The shaker cabinets & hardward are gorgeous and would look just a great in a darker wood like you're leaning toward. Note how nicely their smooth, clean lines and surfaces complement the rougher backsplash. And look at the wonderful tile on the floor! Not sure if it's stone or porcelain (ceramic), but the large rectangular shape is contemporary and interesting--love it.
