This is a real wood shake stained in "Greenbriar" by Sherwin Williams. I love this shake! I know real shake takes some upkeep but wow- I love a stained shake!

Okay- the perfect example of using your colors and marrying them all together. This house is well balanced and pulls together all your favorites... The white is simply there to serve the purpose of balance and pop. It's just a highlight. I think this is what you are after???

Note- the hazelnut door color (and or overhead beams)would tie in the cedar shake though I know you are doing the red- just thinking of ways to balance and still give you the pop and drama.

With this home, they pulled the cedar in but created the pop with their trim and columns. You certainly have a lot of choices- painting is pretty cheap if you wanted to add pop to the trim and columns and go with the cedar. This would be the time to do it if you were going to go that route, otherwise I'd bring in the antique white vertical Hardie on the peaks. The cedar shake would not look bad at all right now the way it is, but I think you would appreciate your color palette more if you added contrast in some respect. You could also opt for the antique white shake- it's a personal preference thing- I just like the broader spaces of light in those areas to create more pop.

This is also a close visual... Note how the white is there to make the other colors pop. It keeps the color palate of the house balanced- it has interest but is not detracting from the other elements of the house.

I think this is a good width for the vertical siding and it looks very close to the Hardie Antique white.

I like the look of the cedar planks here with the olive but they have a lighter trim than yours for the pop. If you painted the columns (and/or possibly the wider trim or garage doors) the antique white Hardie color, it would partner and complement the windows allowing the correct color balance to introduce the cedar shake.
