A simpler pantry solution
this is my idea of a great pantry...could almost just be a small room within the utility or directly off the kitchen. Still too much space wasted in middle of the room

We nearly bought a house in Kildare with this kind of curved island (though less OTT style) - it really works to optimise the workspace and at the same time to allow people seated at counter to see each other (not sitting in a straight line looking at the kitchen)
Like the sleek ergonomic flow of this kitchen - oven to sink to fridge to workspace.
Something like this could work as a flow design - although we wouldn't be keen on the finish style
If we need / can make a transition space work from the family table to the seating area of the open plan space - something to change the tone of the space
We like the water fittings here. Absolutely need / want a purified water tap in the kitchen
Option to have a nice sliding door into pantry instead of a swinger (would trade off shelf space in doorback for a smarter ergonomic entry and maybe a nice wall bracket feature in the kitchen
This arrangement of kitchen space, island, large family table (think extendable to 12 for Christmas) and seating space makes sense to us

Depending on design there might be an option for a window seat like this in the kitchen. We'd be fine with bench space like this around an extendable table as the main family table in the kitchen

We want a double fridge or 2 large fridges
Not crazy about the finish style but the scale and expanse of this kitchen is attractive to us

A pantry between utility and kitchen is a must-have. Doesn't need to be pretty - floor to ceiling shelving and deep shelves - only need enough space to walk in
Island with overhang top so your knees don't hit the side and you can sit there comfortably for dinner
Big island with sink and breakfast space. Really ergonomic space where you can cook a meal while talking to someone at the island
Seating space along the window is nice
