The ground cover is Purpleleaf Wintercreeper - Euonymus fortunei 'Coloratus.' The leaves turn deep reddish-purple in late fall and persist through the winter. During the spring and summer, the leaves are green, as shown in this picture.
the walk is lined with spotted dead nettle (Lamium), boxwood hedge (Buxus), Hosta, Azalea and lungwort (Pulmonaria).
