SHARED - Midtown Unit Interior Design
See the other picture and you'll get it. This is probably cheaper that the stone, and wow does it look good.
I don't necessarily like this exact execution of it, but I think there is definitely opportunity to do something like this if I replace my kitchen. The space lacks a more casual eating surface than the dining table, and there's a big dead space right now in front of the refrigerator. This bulks up the presence of the kitchen area, and solves the table problem at the same time. Maybe not this exactly, but something like it.
I really like the detail where the vanity counter continues behind above the toilet. Love the plant above the toilet, love the drawer/door composition of the vanity face, and I really like the two narrow tubes centering the mirror. The mirror continuing above to the ceiling gives it a really tall, elegant look. I want to copy a lot of these ideas for the two Midtown bathrooms.
red pipes again.
I actually really like the idea of painting the fire sprinkler pipes a fire hydrant red as is shown here. It's a unique and pretty inexpensive way to bring some color into the space. I also like the idea of suspended flat jet black track lighting that puts off a little more "high-end" feeling light then the white builder-quality crap that's in the space right now.
god I love this rug. three paintings about same size as mikes three. Just have to figure out where to place them in the space. That dropped soffit is cool above hallway and living space.
Entry Hall as Art Gallery using perforated, painted MDF panels to "hide" mechanical systems
I love this plant. I've looked a bit and have no idea where to get some big plants that look nice except online, and i don't want to trust that. Ideally my plants would be artificial so I didn't have to water them. But I'd like to incorporate some throughout the space.
This is really cool. I don't have a long enough length of wall to do it likely, but I love it. Entry Hall as Art Gallery using perforated, painted MDF panels to "hide" mechanical systems
I like the concept - a huge rug with bold colors that helps define the room. Not sure I'm sold on the drapery or rug colors/patterns, but the idea is sound.
black suspended track lighting is nice. suspended lower than what you have now. might be a cool way to show off bookshelves.
Look at style of drapes on back left window.
rug, wall clock, lamp
BLUE RUG looks tremendous. Maybe for bedroom?

Should definitely use this detail for drapery mounting. Fits the space perfectly, could paint to paint the rest of the trim, cheap, easy, cut-to-length.
elegant
drapery color against white ceiling.
drapery is nice. adding these thin muntons to sliding glass doors too.
i like the idea of a white/light sheer layer of drapery underneath the thicker, dark layer that blocks the light.
color scheme is so awesome - that orange, white wall on one side, that matte dark color for ceiling and other wall. Love the details too - small cans, the barn-door trimwork on door, etc.
the grey drapes look alright against a white wall, but I worry that without that white contrast, they would not look great. That's why I'm uncertain the direction to go with my drapes.
Rug. lamp. Love the solid colors. It's bright, but clean.
I like this for the corner out the patio door and to the left.
Loved the painting (esp. against that wall color) and bedspread pattern
I love the scale of that painting.
