The way the corner fireplace is flush with the wall - without a big hearth. We'll have the large hearth in the Great room but in the Gathering Room I think a more built in look would work better - but maybe raise it up - with the bottom of the fireplace grate at about 2 - 3 feet to increase visibility from kitchen and other side of nook table.

Between gathering room and kitchen? Look at the cabinets under high counter. They have standard kitchen height on kitchen side cabinets and then under this section of teh counter it looks like they have taller cabinets with doors facing where the bar stools are - maybe 12" ones? Look at the detail of the storage under the glass on this end. Very Nice.
Lower cabinets only in Nook/Hearth room - different color. White? Also, like glass on top cabinets in nook but not for in the nook.
