We are finishing our basement living area (we have a living and dining room on the 1st floor, as well as a kitchen and powder room). We have a full bath in the basement and a utility room with a utility sink. We have two kids, 4 and 8, and one on the way. We do weekend movie nights and we entertain family and friends semi-regularly. Based on others’ experiences, do you think a wet bar with a beverage fridge, small sink, and microwave/convection oven would be a worthwhile addition to the basement living area? Or should we just do floor to ceiling (wall on base cabinets) with a beverage fridge only? The plumbing and drain are already done so no added expenses either way. My husband thinks the bar sink and micro/oven won’t get use, so I’m trying to rethink it. Adding a rendering of both.
