Maybe knock down kitchen/hallway wall and insert peninsula to open kitchen up to hallway/house. Pantry behind current kitchen door should make up for lost upper cabinet space. Lower cabinets to be relocated to peninsula.

Add garbage disposal to island prep sink. Move sink to end of island closer to range and a little more inwards on the island (but not centered). Consider moving either range and/or clean up sink (preferable). Clean up sink closer to kitchen door. Maybe widen window over current clean up sink?
