Pendant style lighting with bubble glass for over kitchen island. Preferably in the blue or seagrass green family for a pop of color since we are doing mostly neutral gray tones otherwise. I don't love this shape though. Too over sized and bubble shaped. Something closer to a tube or smaller cupped shape preferred. Hung via wire or chain, or other medium that moves if it should be bumped etc.
Add storage shelf to left hand pantry door. This way you fill in the void lost to the triangular shape. You can still open right hand door, reach in and almost reach everything. Everyday items will be stored inside towards right side and spices etc. on the door shelf. Putting it on the left hand door, vice right so it's not blocking the way when unloading groceries.
