Outside mount, close to ceiling. The fabric could be a warm neutral, off white linen look,, however linen wrinkles, so a synthetic would be good, lined.

Roman shades with a pattern, these are inside mount. When they pull up they hide in the pocket above. You could also mount closer to the ceiling, mount outside the window, called outside mount, and then when you pull them up they would hide off of the window opening up to that wonderful view!
