I would say however that the floor isn't nearly dark enough and makes everything very floaty in this house

Grey walls, red floor. Doesn't work.
Dark grey flooring with light grey walls. Because the floor is almost black it works.
Grey with black. Splashes of colour standout vividly against monochromatic palette.
Without accent colors looks boring
White walls with grey floor. Could have looked clean but the amount of junk around makes it look cluttered.
Grey floors and dark brown cabinets. Probably doesn't work at all.
Clearly the walls and wall panels are grey but the flooring is reddish brown with no grey in it at all.
