Kitchen Ideas
Patti, I really don't like anything about my current wood floors...I much prefer wide plank vs narrow plank and much darker woods/stains vs whatever the light wood that we have now. I don't know what the options are in terms of the new addition...but i really don't want to be putting in more of these hard wood floors that I can't stand. In this pic, I like the color...we used to have a Brazilian cherry at Longborough, which I loved. But I also like a range of things....anything from the old heart pine through a much darker (black walnut??). What do you think would look best with the type/color of the cabinets in the kitchen?

these would make for adorable desks for homework for the kids
this is neat in lieu of a kitchen table b/c you can still face one another to some extent...and we would have the dining room table somewhere too...
