We're trying to figure out how to manage the space above the (few) high cabinets we have and the ceiling. Ceiling heights is 111". Do we end cabinets (as it currently is built) or add some cosmetic cabinets or shelves above, and the tie it to the ceiling with a soffit?

Kohler Gilford sink - we already bought one. it's difficult to integrate into our existing kitchen due to the window sill height we have (too low)

We like the range hood. I had BASCO quote a ventahood like this, 36", for a bit under $3k. We also have already purchased a new range - a Fulgor Milano Sofia 4-burner (similar to this one), with a white oven door.

This is the style of open shelf we are thinking about - located next to fridge on that open wall.

The countertop mounted high cabinet with metal mesh front is a major design element we want. Our current layout has this (shown in IKEA with glass front doors). Slightly different with the IKEA stock cabinet base. If there's one kitchen photo that we love - this is it (not the tile backsplash though)

This island table is what we're thinking about - something open, wood topped, mobile nonpermanent

The blue colored cabinets are close the color we are imaging. Our floors will be dark stained maple (red/brown) as we plan to continue our new hardwood through the kitchen when we remove our existing island.
