So it looks like we are going to do floors over floors - partly because of cost but also because we don’t want to delay the project even more time wise (we have been carrying apt since last July).
My husband was thinking though we should sand the floors to help even them out so new floors will be flatter and potentially get 1/4 inch back in height (again with 8 inch ceilings ever bit helps). Our contractor said it could cost 7k to sand 1200 sq feet. Do you think that makes sense to pursue?
