A traditional kitchen with handmade cabinetry and dovetail joinery was required for this sunny seaside renovation.
The Brief
An ultra-luxurious, authentic kitchen was required for this development project undertaken by our contract department. To tie in with high ceilings and sash windows a traditional theme was sought to impress potential suitors of this wonderful property.

To add the authentic, traditional element to the project our handmade British kitchen option from Mereway Kitchens was required, boasting handmade cabinetry and dovetail joinery. A Diamond Grey finish has been opted for, which combines nicely with the sparkling quartz work surfaces.
Special Inclusions
To match the premium furnishings with premium functionality, a combination of Siemens cooking appliances has been utilised. Notable inclusions are a Siemens warming drawer, a combination oven and a Caple wine cabinet.
Integrated appliances have been opted for in the form of Siemens refrigerator, freezer and dishwasher.
Project Highlight
The real standout of this project is the handmade cabinetry, which matches the grandeur of this property in every way. The dovetailed oak joinery is exhibited across all drawers and cupboards in this kitchen space.
Understated door knobs and cup handles have been chosen to match the traditional style.
The End Result

The Brief
This client sought to move their kitchen to an open-plan area at the rear of the property, whilst transforming their previous kitchen into a home office. As part of the project, they required all new electrical, water and gas connections into the new room in addition to the kitchen.
From early project conversations a traditional theme was favoured to better suit this property in the rural surroundings of Henfield. As keen cooks, the clients wished to improve their cooking space with an array of new appliances.
Design Elements
Designer Alistair has created a layout and theme to achieve all the elements of the project brief.
The layout utilises an L-shaped run with plenty of tall units to encompass this client’s storage and appliance desirables, in addition to a sizeable island which was a key requirement. The island area adds plenty of worktop space for food preparation and cooking, as well as providing seating for two and a space to perch whilst cooking.
A traditional theme has been achieved by utilising handcrafted in-frame furniture from one of our British suppliers. The colour combination of taupe grey for the main kitchen area, and light grey for the island is a subtle choice that suits the space perfectly.
A Dekton work surface was opted for throughout the kitchen space, this has been chosen in the finish Salina, which teams well with grey accents in this design.
To store dry foods an all-in-one storage option was required to keep things neat and tidy. Designer Alistair recommended a full-height pantry, which is equipped with shelving, drawer storage and door-mounted spice racks.
The array of appliances were also to be located in one area of the kitchen, and so the space in between has been designed with wall units to differ from a run of full-height units. Here a undermounted sink has been installed, in addition to a dishwasher, integrated bin-store, and corner storage. This area has also been enhanced with a glass splashback, useful wall unit mounted plug sockets, and undercabinet lighting.
Special Inclusions
As keen cooks an array of appliances to help with kitchen functionality and enjoyment was key.
A selection of premium Neff appliances have been utilised for this project, including two Slide & Hide single ovens, a combination microwave, built-in coffee centre, full-height refrigerator and full-height freezer.
Placed upon the island is a sizeable five-burner Neff gas hob which is where most of the cooking in this household will take place. The hob has been placed on the island so the clients can indulge in their cooking and watch rugby on TV at the same time. Above this area a ceiling mounted extractor has been built to remove any cooking odours.
Project Highlight
Oak internals are a beautiful element of any kitchen and so are the highlight of this project.
The dovetailed drawer boxes best showcase the handcrafted internals in this kitchen, as well as the door-mounted spice racks within the pantry.
The End Result
This project is another that showcases the capabilities of our complete design and installation option.
Designer Alistair has created a clever design that achieves all elements of the project brief and perfectly captures the client’s ambitions for this space. The kitchen itself is a fantastic example of our illustrious in-frame British kitchen option, that has been installed with great care and precision.

Contemporary German Kitchen in Barns Green, West Sussex
Explore this contemporary Fjord Blue & Satin Grey German Kitchen, complete with a matching utility and TV area.
The Brief
This client sought to transform their kitchen, utility, and dining area with a theme that could be replicated across the three areas of this room. Bold colours were favoured from initial project conversations, and modern conveniences were to be implemented into the design across all three areas.
The project was to also include a small amount of structural work to create access into the utility area, as well as the installation of bi-fold doors towards the garden end of the room.
Design Elements
To achieve the bold aesthetic the client favoured the design utilises a relatively new Fjord Blue finish from German supplier Nobilia. This matt blue finish is contrasted with a glossy Satin Grey option, in a combination that has been deployed across all three areas of this room.
The main kitchen utilises a similar layout to the previous, but with designer Alistair making the most of the space available and tailoring elements to the client’s requirements.
The silky work surfaces are a Corian finish, an additional modern element to the design. The finish is Grey Onyx, and combines well with bold elements of this design, and the vibrant blue glass splashback colour.
Several clever storage and space saving solutions have been incorporated into this design. One is a full-height pull-out pantry placed next to the client’s own American fridge-freezer, and another is the tambour unit which the client liked as a place to store small appliances and breakfast items.
A number of appliances were required as part of this project with high-specification Neff models chosen. One of these is a Flexinduction hob which is installed beneath a built-in Neff extractor, integrated into wall units. A Neff Slide & Hide single oven and combination oven have also been installed, and another high-tech inclusion is a Quooker boiling water tap fitted above a sizeable double stainless steel sink.
Special Inclusions
To give the room the modern feel this client sought, designer Alistair has implemented a number of lighting options to illuminate and enhance the space. Downlights, handrail LED strip lights and plinth lighting have all been installed across the kitchen and matching utility area.
The utility itself utilises the same theme as the kitchen and is equipped with plenty of useful storage space. Another great addition in the utility is a full-height CDA wine cabinet, which has capacity to store more than one-hundred wine bottles.
The entrance to the utility was rethought as part of the project too. A pocket door was chosen to ensure that the utility did not feel too separated from the kitchen and dining areas, and our installation team installed this as part of the installation.
Above the entrance to the utility downlights have been installed which shine upon glass splashback, an inventive piece of work by one of our installers on-site.
Project Highlight
The final area of this vast space is the TV area, which utilises the same Fjord Blue cabinetry, this time with Havana Oak accents.
This area provides extra storage for the clients and is equipped with a built-in TV, positioned in front of their dining area to be used when dining or entertaining.
The End Result
This project is another that shines a light upon the exceptional results that can be achieved using our complete design and installation service. This design incorporated a full kitchen, utility and TV area design, with structural work, furniture installation, electrical work, plumbing and even a small portion of flooring, coordinated by our in-house team and delivered from a single quotation.
