We opted for a rich colour palette of teals, blue greys and rosewood reds. Painting cabinetry and original shutters in tone on tone shades of Farrow & Ball. And adding organic touches via the live edge bedside tables, mid century bench at the end of the bed. And then adding layers of textural interest, clashing patterns and tactile fabrics to dress the super kingsize bed. Brass Bert Frank bedside pendant lights were hung low to enhance the impressive ceiling height and also to save crucial space for storage, allowing space for the couple and their growing family.

We are delighted to reveal our recent ‘House of Colour’ Barnes project. We had such fun designing a space that’s not just aesthetically playful and vibrant, but also functional and comfortable for a young family. We loved incorporating lively hues, bold patterns and luxurious textures. What a pleasure to have creative freedom designing interiors that reflect our client’s personality.

This house needed absolutely everything doing to it, re-wiring, re-plumbing, new windows, under pinning, new heating system, new kitchen, new bathrooms, everything. But that does give you a wonderful blank canvas once the fresh plaster has dried! Here we have Stiffkey Blue on the walls below the picture rail and then Wimborne White above and on the ceiling and woodwork apart from the skirting, where we have carried the moody blue all the way to the floor to meet the dark stained oak boards. Hints of mustard yellow makes the blue really pop in the ceiling pendent, table lamp, throws and cushions. The look is finished off with white painted wooden wardrobes from The White Company and shutters from The Cambridge Shutter Company. Gorgeous!

This project included a complete refurbishment of the guest bedroom. My client wanted to create a peaceful retreat for guests. I suggested a calm blue colour scheme and designed an exquisite bespoke headboard and cushions. I sourced a new bed and sumptuous accessories including bedside tables, lamps and a throw and beautiful linen sheers to match the existing curtains. The joinery from Inteka Limited was spray painted to match the textured wallpaper.
