Run for the Hills

I was overseeing a complete renovation of a 5 bedroom period house and with so many decisions to make wanted some professional help with the interiors. We didn't have a huge budget to work with, but the team at Run for the Hills were brilliant at helping us with the key decisions and bringing a cohesive style throughout the property. They've been super helpful throughout the process and have always gone the extra mile to make sure we're happy with the final result. I wouldn't hesitate to use them again.

The team at Run for the Hills have been absolutely brilliant. From the very beginning of the project, when I approached them for a quote, they have been incredibly helpful, going above and beyond in providing guidance and support. The team quickly understood what I was looking for, and provided insightful suggestions and recommendations on how to think about the project differently. They're also really patient in explaining technical aspects to someone who has never conducted a project such as this. We loved working with Run For The Hills. From the outset, they understood our vision and came up with a gorgeous concept and truly creative design scheme full of artistic flourishes, including art designed by Run For The Hills themselves. The team were passionate and professional and we simply couldn’t have done it without them. Their attention to detail is great and they were present throughout the build to make sure the design came to life as it should, with a great finish. Everyone who sees our property absolutely loves what we’ve done with the place and we would highly recommend them to anyone that asks!

We worked on a project with Run For The Hills last year which was to install two new bathrooms for one of their high profile residential clients. It was a pleasure to work with Anna and the team, they were on call for any design queries that we had and were very quick in providing input or making necessary amendments, which for a contractor is very important when working with a designer. The end result was stunning and the client was left very happy, which I think both parties can take great pride in.

I worked with Run for the Hills on a large interior design project, as their curtain and blind maker; Willow & Bee Curtains. They were extremely professional, communicating the brief carefully and in good detail and informing me of any changes with plenty of time. Their scheme was thoughtfully planned and they paid very promptly. I hope I get the opportunity to work with them again, as their schemes are stunning.

We have worked with Anna and Eloise on a remodeling project in Central London, The project was mainly managed by Eloise and her eye for details is unquestionable. It's not always easy to balance esthetics with function but Eloise (and Anna) have learned to listen to the client and ourselves in order to accomplish the task. The team of Run for the Hills works in a professional manner and they are very detail-oriented, they see the complete project through from floor plans to custom furniture, accessories, etc. Overall a great experience and we look forward to working with them again!

We were so impressed with RftH. The ultimate result has been absolutely fantastic - we love love love our new home! RftH worked on the whole design scheme for our house, selecting materials and finishes and paint colours for us to choose from. They found us curtains and lighting, and of course worked up designs for our kitchen, bathroom and bedrooms. Their design ideas were always so well tailored to our own taste, but encouraged us to try new things we wouldn't have gone for ourselves. RftH were really easy to work with, and they took pride in getting each stage of the process just right. We've already recommended them to lots of our friends!

We worked with Run for The Hills on the recent Houzz of 2018 project, supplying the bathroom fittings. We were impressed by the level of creativity at the company and to ability to overcome the obstacles (with good humour and attention to detail) that creating a luxury bathroom in a tall, listed town house unsurprisingly threw up.

Ever since our time studying together at the KLC School of Design, Anna has always had a unique and eclectic style, combined with a genuine flair for creative interiors. We’ve frequently caught up over the years and bounced ideas off each other in terms of both project creativity as well as client management and business processes and procedures. The project we've worked on that sticks out in my mind the most, is back in March 2013. Anna was working on the “Buckingham Palace Eco-fantasy room” which was a celebration to honour the Royal Warrant Holders and Anna sought my help in sourcing eco/pretty bulbs for chandeliers, and other sustainable input. She specifically sought my advice on how better to source and implement fabrics, textiles and hard materials from the fellow local exhibitors in terms of a sustainable and responsible design ethos. The idea was to use British companies to lower the carbon footprint. I can say with confidence that any client engaging Anna is guaranteed a unique and personal design experience, with a guarantee of a meticulously-realised and one-of-a-kind result.

It has been my pleasure to have collaborated with Anna on several interior design projects over the years. Anna is an outstanding designer who works incredibly hard to achieve beautiful schemes every time. Certainly one of the most talented people I have met, Anna is in a league of her own. She always goes the extra mile on every design and delivers exceptional results.

Anna is a great designer who understands you, the space and how you use it. She used a collection of vintage and new product to create a live / work space in a super quick turn around and budget.

I have known Anna professionally for a number of years and admire her hugely. She is a rising star in the world of interiors with an impressive client and project list. Her creativity is what clients love. With every scheme she delivers a unique look that is specific to the brief but with the Anna Burles magic touch. Anna’s love of colour and originality manifests itself in lovely one-offs from art to furniture and quirky accessories in the form of both vintage and next generation pieces which are mixed with a healthy smattering of high street brands. Anna’s experience in restaurant, retail and event interiors lends an element of theatricality to her residential design. She is fun to work with, diligent and straight talking and has an innate sense of style that is truly original.

Anna Burles approached me in 2013 for some help with one of her projects for a flagship coffee shop in an architectural landmark in Novosibirsk, Russia. My knowledge of the Russian language as well as the design market was a skill her team didn't have at the time so I jumped right in. It took me some time to source the materials, equipment and various suppliers for her project which resulted in a 3 day intense trip to the capital of Russia with herself and another colleague to meet with the selected suppliers and visit numerous showrooms. We had a fantastic time with Anna in Moscow and I am delighted that we were such a good team during our short burst of cooperation. Anna is a fantastically creative person with a vast practical experience across multiple design fields, to which she has now added some Russia-specific knowledge. She is an amazing conceptual designer who can tackle anything - from brand identity to bespoke wardrobes.
