Inspiration for a large scandi spiral staircase in Paris.

This was a full bedroom and ensuite renovation, designed by Sable Interiors, and it's one of those projects where every detail was thought through from the start. The vaulted ceiling in the bedroom gave us a great canvas — we dressed the walls in a silver textured wallpaper that catches the light beautifully throughout the day. The upholstered headboard, luxury bedding and copper and teal colour palette were all specified by the Sable Interiors team, and it really pays off — it has the feel of a high-end boutique hotel without losing the warmth of a family home. The deep door surround with recessed downlights either side is one of those details that stops you in your tracks — simple but very effective. The ensuite sits under the apex of the roof, and we made the most of that with a full-height triangular glazed gable window that floods the space with natural light. Large format porcelain tiles run floor to ceiling with a copper mosaic band through the middle, tying the bathroom back to the bedroom scheme. The floating double vanity with under-unit lighting and twin chrome heated towel rails either side finish the space off perfectly. Full credit to Sable Interiors for a beautifully considered design that made our job a pleasure to build.

hokon / Masukowitz Ein Spiel von Licht und Technik In jeder Stufe sind 68W High-Power LEDs eingebaut, die über Dali-Bus-Technik einzeln und in drei zusammenhängenden Bereichen gesteuert werden. Die Kopplung der Steuerung mit diversen Sensoren, Zeitgebern sowie Alarm und Rauchmeldern ermöglicht unterschiedliche Lichtszenarien. An Wochentagen wird das Treppenhaus morgens als Aufweckzeremonie stark beleuchtet sein; nachts dagegen nur der zu betretende Bereich, während der Rest abgedimmt ist. Gehen im Notfall Alarmanlage und/oder Rauchmelder an, so wird die Treppenbeleuchtung zu jeder Zeit automatisch sofort auf volle Leuchtkraft gestellt. Die Wärme der High-Power LEDs muss über Kühlkörper abgeführt werden. Diese sind so eingebaut und bemessen, dass ein Teil der Wärme über die Tragkonstruktion abgeführt wird, ein anderer Teil erwärmt die Trittfläche der Stufen auf max. 27°C.
