Silvertone Photography This was a new build home, with Dorrington Homes as the builder and Retreat Design providing the kitchen and wet areas design and cabinetry. As an established importer of bespoke cabinetry, we have worked with many Perth builders over the years and are committed to working with both the client and the builder to make sure everyone’s needs at met, including notoriously tight construction schedules. The kitchen features dark tones of Paperstone on the benchtop and cabinetry door fronts, with copper highlights. The result is a warm and inviting space that is completely unique. The ensuite is a design feet with a feature wall clad with poured concrete to set the scene for a space that is unlike any others we have created over the years. Couple that with a solid surface bath, on trend black tapware and Paperstone cabinetry and the result is an exquisite ensuite for the owners to enjoy.

IQ Glass designed and installed the Mondrian Glazing System to this modern extension in London. The Mondrian doors offer a slim, beautiful appearance which were powder coated black creating an art deco aesthetic to the interior. The use of large elevations of glass to the rear of the home allows natural light into the home whilst the bespoke glazing bar design adds character and an industrial design element to the project. Overview A new build house on the site of a tired bungalow. The Brief Create a brand new house with mid-century modern design cues. 5 bedrooms including 2-3 en-suites and a range of circulation and living spaces to inspire. Our Solution The moment we met this client we wanted to work with them and we continue to do so today. A space creator and visionary designer himself, we knew we’d have to come up with some new ideas and explore all options on a narrow site. Light was an issue, the deep plan needed a way of pulling in light and giving a sense of height to the main circulation spaces. We achieved this by notching out the centre of one side of the plan, adding mezzanine decks off the stairwell and working in the bedrooms over 3 floors. The glamour of this scheme is in the combination of all of the living space – not in large rooms. We investigated several colour pallets and materials boards before settling on the warmer and handmade aesthetic. We love this scheme and the furnishing completed by the client…

A contemporary penthouse apartment in St John's Wood in a converted church. Right next to the famous Beatles crossing next to the Abbey Road. Concrete clad bathrooms with a fully lit ceiling made of plexiglass panels. The walls and flooring is made of real concrete panels, which give a very cool effect. While underfloor heating keeps these spaces warm, the panels themselves seem to emanate a cooling feeling. Both the ventilation and lighting is hidden above, and the ceiling also allows us to integrate the overhead shower. Integrated washing machine within a beautifully detailed walnut joinery.

Meadow wallpaper is a contemporary pattern that mimics the hills of the countryside. The stripe like strokes of colour create depth and texture the paper. John Constable stayed here about two hundred years ago and even today the elegantly symmetrical facade remains unchanged. Once past the front door, all similarity to the formality of that by gone era fades in an instant. Colourful contemporary paintings greet you, mixed with a delightful creative kaleidoscope of furnishings, artefacts and paintings, spanning many different centuries from many European capitals. This beautiful bathroom is part of a project by Spencer Swaffer Antiques in Arundel, West Sussex and was published in the August 2016 issue of Homes & Antiques. The centre piece of the bathroom is our beautiful Tamar cast iron roll top bath which has been polished to give it an eye-catching shine that reflects the light. The large panoramic window frames the view and provides a perfect background for the bath. It gleams in the natural light of the space and elegantly pairs with the chrome Double Lowther Vanity Basin with Arabescato Marble, the 6-Bar wall mounted towel rail and the bathroom accessories that were used to maintain high levels of daylight.
