This terrace house had remained empty for over two years and was in need of a complete renovation. Our clients wanted a beautiful home with the best potential energy performance for a period property. The property was extended on ground floor to increase the kitchen and dining room area, maximize the overall building potential within the current Local Authority planning constraints. The attic space was extended under permitted development to create a master bedroom with dressing room and en-suite bathroom. The palette of materials is a warm combination of natural finishes, textures and beautiful colours that combine to create a tranquil and welcoming living environment.

One corner module 100 cm x 100 cm has back supports in J Brown Modena 13128 black and one in Modena 13992 mustard. The other corner has both back cushions Swaffer Willow 03 (stripes). One base is in Designers Guild Auskerry F2021/23 plum, the other is Designers Guild Kalahari FDG2166/10 leaf. In the bedroom, the floral meadow print Borastapeter wallpaper creates a calm, relaxing feel and gives a nod to my client’s Swedish heritage. I used the pattern as a starting point for the rest of the room, picking out the rest of the interiors to complement the colours within the paper. There is a cosy corner with a bespoke storage bench seat, with Colours of Arley striped cushions to add a fun, colourful twist to the scheme. The headboard is also upholstered in Colours of Arley fabric, and the reading light and switches are neatly incorporated into it to give a streamlined, luxury feel.
