The steel frame doors of the wall units can be customised afresh every day thanks to the “blackboard slate effect” surfaces. “Air conduit two”, a ducted chimney hood with drip metal finish, has been created to a Diesel design. Exclusive Indigo tempera finish for the open-pore lacquered wood doors. The effect is similar to washed denim.

This client in Greenwich wanted a compact practical kitchen in an open plan kitchen diner. The result is this simple yet beautiful hand painted bespoke kitchen.

The clients brief for this large 1930s house was to demolish several internal walls to covert a narrow ‘L’ shaped kitchen into a large open family space. Key client desires included a nook capable of seating the whole family and a functional ‘industrial’ style.
Through a series of computer model presentations, we moved away from a conversion of the existing space developing instead an extension. The resultant large space was separated into a functional kitchen zone and a large nook area housed within a frameless glass bay window.
High quality rich natural materials such as handmade brick and hardwoods were enhanced with hidden natural lighting from above to create a rich, textured and layered look. Inspiration for this brightly lit complex space was drawn from the idea of the ‘Manhattan Loft’.

This project began with a clear goal: to blend an industrial aesthetic with a warm, open‐plan layout that draws energy from the clients’ vibrant garden. Little Greene’s “Harley Green” on the Shaker‐style cabinets sets the tone, balancing a lively colour with classic lines. From the front door, the island and coffee station direct the view straight to the garden, highlighting that strong connection between indoors and out.
Reeded‐glass wall cabinets and black steel accents emphasise the industrial side of the design, while floating oak shelves and Zellige tiles add warmth and texture. Subtle LED lighting highlights the natural edges of the tiles. In the breakfast area, the architects created a bespoke walnut table with a powder‐coated steel plate to carry through the industrial look.
The main run features a larger Belfast sink for everyday use, while a second, smaller sink—paired with a Quooker tap—handles drinks. With a household size that can vary from one to four people, there is both a standard dishwasher and double Fisher & Paykel dish drawers. Gaggenau Series 200 appliances include an induction hob with a downdraft, a single oven, and a microwave‐combi, while the Samsung French‐style fridge freezer with a Beverage Center™ completes the appliance lineup.
Shaker cornicing, satin‐chrome hinges, and overhead cabinets in Black RAL 9015 wrap up the overall look, keeping the focus on a practical, yet visually striking, space.

This shaker style is painted in Farrow & Ball Down Pipe. These oak tray slots house oak trays for ease and convenience. To the right of the tray slow is an integrated pull out bin.

Two storey rear extension to a Victorian property that sits on a site with a large level change. The extension has a large double height space that connects the entrance and lounge areas to the Kitchen/Dining/Living and garden below. The space is filled with natural light due to the large expanses of crittall glazing, also allowing for amazing views over the landscape that falls away. Extension and house remodel by Butterfield Architecture Ltd.
