I had a 2hr ‘Design Fix’ service today. Firstly, I want to say how approachable and easy to talk to Justine is, as well as being a professional, talented designer who is so inspiring and creative. All her advice and feedback was spot on and exactly what I needed. Secondly, the websites and products recommended were both beautiful and surprisingly good value for money. Therefore, the consultation, in my opinion was worth every penny, thank you.

I had the privilege of working with Justine on a couple of projects now, and her exceptional eye for design made my job as a photographer an absolute joy. The spaces Justine creates are not only visually stunning but also thoughtfully crafted, with every detail carefully considered. Justine has transformed our C16th property into a fresh, contemporary and cosy space, bringing in light and beautiful designs and fabrics to areas that were previously dark and uninspiring and injecting life and colour to our home, expertly marrying the old with the new and modern. Justine has an exceptionally keen eye for detail and innovative design and took a bold and creative approach to aspects of our property that we would never have considered, let alone orchestrated so beautifully. We knew when we met her that we were in safe hands but the finished product has well exceeded our hopes and expectations. Our three young children love their new home, Justine created fun and playful spaces for them to be themselves which they love and we really appreciate her incorporating these spaces for them. We take daily pleasure from walking around our home and taking in all the special touches and beautiful pieces of furniture, including the bespoke furniture created by her colleague Paul, which get lots of compliments from friends, and also the stunning sideboard that was sourced in France and professionally re-mastered, it's exquisite. The whole process turned out to be a lot of fun and having Justine's colleague Caron manage the timetable of deliveries, including delays, breakages and rescheduling, took pretty much all of the time-consuming stress out of it. Justine's whole team were professional, friendly and courteous and were happy to go the extra mile, it was refreshing to know that we could trust them from the off. It also helps that Justine is a lovely person and really nice to spend time with and her communication and responsiveness were clear and brilliant. We couldn't recommend more highly.

Justine redesigned two teenage bedrooms for us, and project managed the work. The whole family is delighted with the results. Justine has two superpowers - one is eeking a design brief out of two taciturn teens and coming up with concepts that reflected them completely and which they now really love. Her other super power is being 100% clear about the process, what is going to happen next and what it is going to cost. As someone who had not really worked with an interior designer before, I really appreciated this: Justine provided me with absolute certainty throughout. Refining the designs, she was able to work to our budget requirements with no detriment to the design choices. I cannot recommend Justine and her team highly enough.

Justine and Nicky came to our house to carry out Space Planning. We are looking to knock down a couple of walls to make an open plan space however we were struggling to see what would be the best layout especially as it included an awkward side extension. They are both really knowledgeable, listened to what our vision was and how we wanted to use the space and kept our budget in mind. They were able to come up with two options that we really liked and we have chosen to progress with one. The drawings they produced are detailed and we are now able to use them to get a structural engineer involved with the project. We enjoyed working with BarkerDesign and would recommend them to others.

I have collaborated with Justine on a number of projects and found her to be very clear, professional and easy to work with. Her creative eye and attention to detail ensure that she exceeds expectations and her clients are always thrilled with the results. When we built our retirement villa in Umbria we wanted to be very much involved, but we knew we lacked the experience, the confidence and the ideas to make our dream home the very best it could be. Justine first helped us to understand what our priorities and preferences were. Then she developed options which made all our rooms and spaces complement each other. Next she produced detailed plans for room layouts, lighting, and fittings for the contractors to follow. Finally she helped us chose the colour schemes, fixtures, fabrics and furnishings. The result looks and feels completely our own. Only we know how much it owes to Justine.

From start to finish Barker design made the renovation of our home a pleasure. Justine knew exactly the look we wanted. She put together some great designs, and also helped us source a number of unusual elements that we would never have found ourselves. Used Justine to help completely re do the interior of our farmhouse. She met the brief brilliantly and brought ideas to the ideas to the table which we never would have thought off. The level of detail was incredible and Justine worked incredibly hard to get it right. Would recommend her to anyone, especially those who are after something a bit different and original.

Best interior designer I’ve ever used. Completely understood the brief. Has always come in on or under budget. Always wants to go that extra mile to get things looking right, does not settle for ‘good enough.’Can not recommend highly enough.
