Scope of our project includes a full house renovation + design (including new dormer, new rear extension, new roof and windows etc). The build work has taken around 7 months. In general, we are very happy with what has been delivered and we really appreciate that AJ's team (led by Mandip) has transformed an old house in poor condition into a virtually new home to my family. Our designer, Jessica, also from Build Abode, has done a great job by producing at a timely manner multiple versions of design that fulfils our requirements. Throughout the project (design phase & build phase) we have received great communication from AJ's team. AJ himself has been consistently responsive not only during work hour but also at night and at weekend, for which I have really appreciated. Throughout the project, issues arise from time to time since a project of such scale involves many variables and unforeseen situation, the team has kept responsive and has been willing to resolve the issue until we are happy, so all in all, we are very happy and are willing to give a 5 stars.

When we initially spoke to Sukh, AJ, and Mandip, I knew I wanted Build Abode to carry out our project but assumed they might be on the premium end of pricing. Thankfully, their quote was not only detailed but surprisingly competitive—especially compared to others that provided nothing more than a half-page scribble. The entire process was seamless, the workmanship outstanding, and communication effortless. All our guests and family are delighted, and we will definitely work with them again—cannot recommend them highly enough.

We hired Build Abode to complete a side extension & kitchen renovation after our previous contractor let us down with extremely poor workmanship. The team was respectful of our home throughout, no bad language used on site (vital with our young family), they were efficient, always left site clean & safe at the end of each day while also explaining where we were with the project each day / week. I would thoroughly recommend & will most certainly use Sukh & his team again in the future.

Build Abode did a full house renovation and extension for us, including garage conversion, side rear extension and loft conversion. They transformed our vision from the drawing board into reality. Sukh and Mandeep, along with the others who worked on our property were professional throughout. From the initial consultation to the completion, they showed remarkable skill and attention to detail. Mandeep and Happy are very knowledgeable and navigated some complex challenges around the original plan. We are very happy with the workmanship, and the standards that they adhered to. Timelines were met consistently, there was clear communication throughout and the team was always courteous during the 6 months of build time. Most importantly, after the work was finished, unlike some other builders, they were still available to come and fix some of the snagging work. They even came and fixed issues for our neighbours which was appreciated by all the parties. They worked around our schedules and did an excellent job of supporting us as we moved back into the property. I wholeheartedly recommend Build Abode to anyone seeking a trustworthy and competent builder for their building projects.

I hired Design Abode to refurbish my house, and I couldn’t be happier with the results. From start to finish, they were professional, reliable, and efficient. The pricing was very fair and transparent, which made the entire process stress-free. Despite the scope of the project, they stuck to the agreed timeline and completed everything exactly as promised. It’s rare to find builders who are both punctual and deliver high-quality work, but Design Abode managed both effortlessly. The finish on the refurbishment is excellent, with attention to detail evident throughout. They also kept the site tidy, minimizing disruption to my daily routine. Quality of work and finish is poor for the prices that they charge. From the various workers assigned to the project, only one was skilled, with the rest being extremely unskilled with no pride taken in the work they do. They are always in a big rush to get things done as fast as possible, not caring if they sacrifice on quality. Constant mess ups and zero project management from the company, which begs the question why you even pay a premium if the customer is expected to manage all the workers. Do not go ahead with any outsource recommendations of theirs: the waste removal recommendation abused neighbours and scratched up communal area flooring, the tiling guy had no idea how to properly lay handmade brick slips, leaving a wonkey mess that they ultimately refused to fix. If they charged half the price it might be worth using them, but probably still not as they cause you so much stress. I am left to hire another trades person to get the final parts done now, due to a mix of unavailability from Design Abode and also having no trust that their workers are going to do it correctly or well.

Clear project guidelines and well managed. Quality builders. We redid our ground floor to be open plan, new patio doors and kitchen and all came together beautifully. They didnt stress the small stuff, found solutions to problems and kept to budget. Strong communicators and felt progress was being made at all times.

Avoid at all cost! Contracting Design Abode to refurbish my flat in London was the worst decision on my part influenced by excellent reviews displayed on Houzz.co.uk and the worst experience I have ever had with a construction company (I have refurbished several flats in the past). My flat and common area outside was turned into a dirty mess during construction, the company hired random freelancers to perform work, the quality of finish was terrible throughout, it took them 4 months to skim and paint 3 bedroom flats and upgrade 2 small bathrooms because they only worked 1-2 days per week and not every week, project management was non-existent, they claimed compensation for poorly finished or unfinished work, floors that I asked to protect were all covered in skimming material and paint, every small change was a major problem and cost a fortune to fix. After four months of continuous stress and struggle, I had to hire another company to fix the mess they left behind! Don’t fall into the trap of five star reviews!

I can highly recommend Sukh, Avi and the amazing builder team behind Design Abode. We did a full house renovation where we had Design Abode design and fit our kitchen, utility and mud room. We are more than happy with process and the finished results of all 3 rooms. We came with Pinterest reference pictures of our dream kitchen and they made it all reality. During the building process we had a few things that we wanted to change, with the team happily tailored everything to our wishes even though it was different from the original plan. Sukh, Avi and the whole the team is very professional and easy to work with. Everything was done to the timelines, budget and quality they have promised. They are a professional team who knows what they can deliver and simply delivers it. A huge thank you and Well done to the Design Abode team, for delivering our Kitchen project to a truly high standard (and especially during these testing Covid times). Excellent management, workmanship and meticulous planning, to the level that was very pleasing to watch, as the project took shape. Avi offered great range of advice and experience that really made the final product what it is. Must mention the customer focus which was incredible from the initial design stage all the way through to the final stages. The team really listened to how we wanted the kitchen to function, how it should look and really tailored everything to our needs - but with the added finer details which truly makes our kitchen stand out. The range of products and choices are endless, and of premium quality. The final look and feel provides a sense of luxury. The support and advice has been exceptional and it is clear there is real experience and knowledge of the industry with a high level of professionalism. Really enjoyed working with the team, which made the whole project easier to deliver.

Design Abode refurbished our 1 bed flat for us and we are so pleased with our choice of builder. Their initial quotes were extremely competitive, customer service and communications were always excellent throughout the project. Any issues from simple hiccups to complex process were resolved quickly and efficiently. During the lockdown the team were very considerate of the neighbours especially those working from home. The whole team worked extremely hard and were very organised, we were astounded at the progress which was well ahead of schedule without any compromise on the first-class workmanship. They have been a pleasure to deal with from start to finish and we have no hesitation in recommending Design Abode.

It was a pleasure to work with Design Abode as I project managed refurbishment of 1 bed flat. Excellent communications and prompt response throughout. The team were super organised and worked efficiently to minimise noise for neighbours during lockdown, they even went above and beyond and tracked down missed deliveries. In spite of many constraints, Design Abode was able to progress the whole project smoothly ahead of schedule, and exactly as specified without any hidden costs. As a result, clients were extremely happy with the budget and the speed of the completion. The result is a cut above other projects I have seen with other firms. I have already recommended Design Abode to other clients. They are extremely professional, a building company you can trust to deliver high quality finish.

Really professional and superbly customer focused kitchen team. We're really pleased with both the final outcome and also the approach and support throughout - nothing was too much bother (from proposing design options to help us choose, coming on site to show us samples and finally making fitting alterations mid flight). Crucially, the attention to detail was also top notch. Excellent job! It was a tricky one - the shape of my original kitchen was awkward, it was small, and I was trying to get it all done whilst being abroad! But AJ and his team came through. All was completed perfectly on time and the results are fantastic. It’s my favourite room in the flat now (and it used to be my worst!) The team paid attention to all the details that make a kitchen look luxurious and were great at recommending the right accessories and appliances. Given that I was managing this remotely, I was particularly impressed with their communication - very open, honest, and consistent. I’m very pleased with the outcome and would highly recommend them.

The communication when using designabode was nothing more than great, they provided the design immediately and delivered the installation of the kitchen in the exact timescales stated. The level of customer service was exceptional as all the calls were always answered along with detailed updates throughout the installation process, very happy and would definitely recommend to family and friends !

Our experience with Design Abode was nothing short of perfect from start to finish. Ajit & the team went well above and beyond what was expected; they took us through the process with both empathy and expertise, not only for our kitchen, but bathrooms and flooring too. Their product knowledge and attention to detail ensured the kitchen was finished to showroom standards with enough gizmos and gadgets to keep it modern for the next decade! In August 2019 Design Abode turned our dream into reality! They designed and installed our dream kitchen. We can not fault the kitchen in any way, neither the service of Design Abode. They were knowledgeable, full of advise and very patient with our demands. I loved that the design included the complete floor plan (having open plan living/dining) not just the the kitchen area. That made us see how everything would flow together. Everything was done on time. Avi, who installed our kitchen went out of his way to make sure everything was perfect. He also worked around our schedules. As we are extremely happy with our kitchen and quality of their work, we will be inviting them again to design our build in wardrobes.

However, on meeting Ajit and the team at DA, we were impressed by their knowledge, pragmatism and, ability to listen and interpret our requirements. This initial experience flowed through to the implementation. The installation team were excellent in their planning, execution of the work, and attention to detail. The most efficient and friendly staff, highly professional team that can execute your kitchen dreams and desires to an exact specification! The expertise that the team had from the inception with the detailed drawings with great design ideas and 3D visuals created by Sonya, and the level of detail from the installation manager Avtar who was on site during the process and the complete knowledge of every aspect of a kitchen from appliances, accessories, colour schemes and materials and the utilization of space from the directors Ajit and Sukh gave us clear confidence in their work and passion for the job and service provided. They were extremely personable, warm, friendly and charming and a complete joy to have been serviced by. The finished product has been complimented by every guest and is now clearly the highlight of our home. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a great quality kitchen with fantastic service to go with it! Our family thank you Design Abode for realising our dream kitchen. One happy customer!
