Jamie designed and planted up a flowerbed which looks fantastic. Really impressed with his knowledge of plants and what works best where.

We were drawn to Jamie as we were impressed his portfolio and his modern take on a 'wild' garden. When we talked through the potential project, he was able to articulate our basic ideas into a creative plan. We felt that he 'got' us and what we wanted very quickly. We had a very 2D garden and he was able to bring interest and different zones in to the space. He has fulfilled our brief for easy to maintain planting with his vast knowledge of plants. The space is now more usable, relaxing and attractive to look at. Overall we were very happy with Jamie and his work.

We had a bare and uninspiring garden following a rebuild of our house - lawn at the front and paving at the back. With no ideas of our own on how to turn this into an easy to maintain but beautiful and usable space, we sought help from an expert. Jamie took time to learn how we wanted to use the space and interpreted what we were saying into practical but stunning designs, far beyond what we had expected. We now have a garden which we want to spend time in, with distinct areas of varied planting and purpose. Jamie also supported us through the process of tendering for and appointing the landscapers and worked with them to implement the designs. Thanks to Jamie, the garden is just what we wanted without us even knowing it.

We had decided to work with Jamie, Sivan & the team on our garden re-design after attempting to take on all the project ourselves. We had an idea of what we wanted but found it difficult to articulate in the right level of detail to the landscape contractors and thus we ended up with 3 wildly different prices and 3 totally different approaches to the job. That is when we reach out to Jamie & the team to help. We went back to the beginning, and they started with the basics of what are inspiration was, any things we really wanted, how involved we wanted to be with the upkeep of the plants etc. They presented back some mood boards, some sketches and even had a 3D design made up for us, and our dream garden started to come to life. Crucially they created scale drawings, itemised list of materials & supplies needed for the job, and even created their own estimate on what the job cost might come in at. This enabled us to go back to landscape contractors (some of which were recommended by Jamie) and get a consistent price back and approach to undertaking the work. Once the contract was awarded, Jamie was checking in with the Site Manager to ensure any issues or queries were dealt with, which meant I didn’t have the on-site team disturbing me while I was working. Post completion, Jamie did the final walk around and assisted with the snagging list, before signing off. We then met again in the summer to check on progress and they gave some helpful gardening tips to ensure the scheme they helped designed flourished to its full potential. We are really happy with the outcome of our garden project and it has completely transformed the space. Without Jamie and the team, we would have ended up with something less special, less what we wanted (which Jamie helped us to unlock), the process would have been significantly more stressful, and would still most likely be work in progress (or worse not even started!). Would strongly recommend Edit Landscape Design if you are thinking of embarking on creating your dream garden space.

Jamie has managed to create a garden that is in total keeping with our environment. We live in the middle of fields, hedgerows and amazing views and the design Jamie presented reflects our surroundings and has provided us with a garden that is both stunning in colour but still informal and a little bit wild! ( we have a horse filled paddock backing onto it) It’s easy to maintain (lots of gravel beds) whilst the stonework ( Gabion wall and flint walls) fits perfectly within the property (we live in a converted barn after all). Jamie definitely made us think outside the box and we couldn’t have achieved this garden, along with it’s endless bees and butterflies, without him.

Jamie did a fantastic job completely redesigning our entire garden. He presented initial design ideas and a "look book" , subsequently developing fully detailed plans and specification, and sourced an exceptional landscape gardener to implement the hard landscaping. Jamie personally sourced and planted a range of flowers, shrubs and trees to create the Cornish-beach-lifestyle garden that we had envisaged. Since the completion of the project Jamie has returned on several occasions to check on progress. Twelve months later the new garden is already starting to mature and we are thrilled with what has been achieved. We now live in our garden in the warmer months and the work has positively impacted the value of the property quite significantly. Friends, neighbours and family have all commented on what a wonderful and professional job both Jamie and his landscaper have done. One of our grown-up children even commented "it's a game changer!" We would recommend Jamie and his team unreservedly.

Having decided that our back garden needed a complete overhaul, we decided to look for help from a garden designer with a good knowledge of tree, shrub and plant varieties that would suit out requirements. After seeing Jamie's website and customer reviews, we decided to contact him and so glad that we did. From the initial discussion to producing his final plan with tree and plant suggestions, we found the whole process easy to understand and all the elements of the project were very well explained. Jamie's vast knowledge of the mature trees, shrubs and plants he suggested work incredibly well and when the plants were delivered, he actually took ownership of the planting scheme and positioned them exactly in their final positions. We will definitely be using Jamie again!

We have worked with Jamie on two projects, and we can’t recommend him highly enough. For each design careful consideration was given to our needs, requirements and budgets. We loved that he used his creativity and knowledge to provide us with stunning gardens. For our current garden there isn’t a single person who visits us whose jaw doesn’t drop! His incredible use of landscaping, additional textures and innovative planting provides us with constant joy! We have only to look out at our garden and feel inspired, and happy.

Jamie provided us with a fabulous garden design which met all of our requirements and created a wonderful outdoor space from a scrappy bit of tough grass. We are delighted with the results.

Jamie was recommended to us by our landscape gardener. Thank goodness for he really listened to our specific design requirements (e.g. easy access). He was extremely knowledgeable and produced an excellent design/plan for the rear garden of our new build house. It reflected closely what we needed and complimented the contemporary nature of our new build. We have had lots of positive feedback including from our architect! Jamie was easy to work with and we'd have no hesitation in using him again/recommending him.

Jamie has guided us in the development of our large garden ever since the inception of InsideOut Gardens. Ivan in particular has been putting plans into action since 2013. Their design skills are underpinned by their mutual extensive experience as practical, knowledgeable gardeners, and they are therefore able to listen to our ideas and hone them into feasible actions. It has been an ongoing partnership rather than a one off design task, but the transformation in our previously overgrown, unruly garden has been enormous. To give just two specific examples: 1. Jamie and Ivan designed a fantastic planting scheme for two new beds created when our patio and steps were extended and rebuilt, and this has thrived under Ivan's meticulous care, and 2. Jamie suggested, and continues to maintain, the pruning of a mature yew into a novel abstract cloud shape, using the pre existing formation of the tree's branches as a guide to its eventual form. They have been invaluable to us.

Jamie at Inside out garden design gave me a phased work programme which suited us in all aspects. We already had a full garden but he has been able to take the best of it and rid us of the bits which didn't fit with our overall picture. He also had a great idea for a non lawn and we are waiting for the colour through spring and summer 2017. He was prompt, professional and works with a colleague Ivan who is equally courteous. They are knowledgable and work hard and we highly recommend them.
