Mark and his team transformed a blank canvas roof terrace into a beautiful and wonderfully welcoming space that students, staff and guests will be able to use across the year. The design process was easy and enjoyable and Mark was very understanding of our budget constraints. His team were expert, efficient and very tidy! I would thoroughly recommend him.

Garden Builders were excellent. We worked on the decision with Mark Gilmore and he patiently allowed us to go back and forth on details as we decided exactly how the garden should look. The works team did an excellent job in terms of being on time, quality of work, communication, friendliness. We've totally transformed an outdoor space into a fully usable part of the house which has significantly increased our living space. I'd strongly recommend them.

The garden is 30 steps up a steep hill and it was an overgrown mess with a very old , cracked patio which was subsiding away. The team at GB took the brief, built on it and created over 4 weeks a magnificent outside space. Despite the steps the on site team never complained and worked even weekends to get the job done . It was professionally project managed by Jay Wood and Lenko. I cannot praise more highly the whole process and of course the end result. John Cornish

I highly recommend The Garden Builders who did a fantastic job remodelling and renovating my back and front gardens in Q4 2021. From the first visit Mark Gilmore understood what kind of look and feel I was after; producing an excellent first draft and then patiently worked with me to finalise it to achieve exactly what I had in mind. The planting schemes were both stunning and original while working well in a London climate and Mark always seemed to have just the right supplier for whatever I wanted; York Stone, fire pit table, beautiful planters, lighting and so on. All the various contractors (building, planting and electricity) were on-time, quality-oriented, detail-focused and nice to deal with - they worked hard and kept to the deadlines, they even finished a few days early vs the original plan!

I would highly recommend the Garden Builders. They transformed our back garden into a beautiful family garden. Mark was very good at listening to us and getting back to us promptly on any questions we had. Everyone working on site was professional and a pleasure to have around. A really nice bunch of people and a very professional team.

I heartily recommend The Garden Builders. Mark Gilmore as our project manager really listened to what we wanted out of our small rear garden and came up with a design tailored to help us make the most of our limited space, introducing some colour and greenery and giving us a no-fuss, easy to maintain reading nook in the form of a built in wooden L-shaped seat. It was important to us to find a company that could design & build. The building team were very hard-working and professional - as we're in a terrace, everything had to come through our house. But they were careful to protect the floors and worked to very high standards. The heavy downpours we had during and since the project was completed were a good test, and the quality of their foundation work showed when all that rainwater drained away quickly. We love our new garden; it has completely exceeded all our expectations.

I strongly recommend The Garden Builders, who did a first-class job of re-constructing and re-planting my front garden. It was a relatively small job but Mark Gilmore and his colleagues took a lot of trouble to get all the details right. I am a fastidious client, and they dealt with all my picky comments efficiently and with good humour. I'd certainly employ them again.

I can highly recommend these guys, they did a fantastic job on our garden. Mark who managed the job gave us great advice and was always very organised and efficient. His team were always punctual, tidy and worked very hard on site. We are so delighted with the results.

The Garden Builders transformed our tired and depressing back garden into an elegant, welcoming space with a discrete but effective drainage system. We were delighted with Mark Gilmore's design and advice including the kind of stone that would best suit our needs, taste and budget. We also very much appreciated the initiative he took in having an outdoor portaloo brought onsite so the garden building team (who clearly travelled to and from work wearing masks) would not need to step into the house. The installation was headed by the ever cheerful Lyuben. Lyuben and his team always arrived on time, worked very hard and left the area clean and tidy at the end of each day. We could not be more delighted. This is a highly professional and well-run operation. Five stars.
