Helen is a superior curtain maker, definitely a cut above. She provided a first class service, was professional yet personable throughout. An absolute treasure of a find. I cannot recommend Helen highly enough.

I had some curtains made for the entrance to my cottage. A great service from start to finish - from the initial consultation - choosing the fabric, discussing the type of curtain and appropriate fixtures, through the making up, to the finished product being fitted and hung in place. Very pleased indeed - thanks Helen!

I have used Act 1 several times in recent years and always been highly satisfied with every job undertaken, from a small roman blind to several very complicated windows. Helen was always friendly, approachable and willing to work with my ideas as well as give advice when inspiration was needed. The ability to work within a budget without compromise to my overall scheme was very much appreciated. It is with all this in mind I would not hesitate to recommend Helen at Act 1.

I have now used Act One three times for curtains and blinds and I cannot recommend them highly enough. There are several aspects of their products and services which set them apart from the other companies I have considered. Firstly, the degree of technical knowledge that their staff have is beyond compare. They have an outstanding understanding of solutions that exist for all situations and are able to come up with solutions to overcome all challenges. Secondly, they have time and again shown themselves to have deep integrity and I consider them to be trusted advisers. They are not intent on making a sale, but genuinely committed to customers having the right solution at a price that fits the budget. Thirdly, they carry a superb range of suppliers, enabling them to serve the grandest or most meagre of budgets. For me, they provided a full and very high specification set of curtains and blinds for a 7 bedroom, 4 storey town house as their first project. Seven years later, the curtains, blinds and poles still perform as new and are the envy of my friends. The second project was a much lower budget country cottage. The fabrics and workmanship looks a million bucks but the price tag was very pleasing. Recommend them 100%!

Great advice and amazing curtains and blinds. Some of them I've had for 8 years and they are still as stunning as they day were fitted. I would definitely recommend Act 1.
