Jo worked with us on an extensive refurb project at our house in Whitstable. We had numerous build defect issues to address as a result of problems with the original build so it was a particularly stressful time and it was important to us that when we came back to the house it felt like ours and not the original owners'. Jo was very empathetic to our situation and took lots of time to really get to know us and our tastes, preferences and quirks (including how we based numerous decisions around our labrador :)). Her moodboarding/discovery phase was really key for us in understanding the direction we wanted to take the house. She was on-hand throughout the project and went above and beyond in helping us work through all sorts of design decisions...deftly helping us find a middle ground when we couldn't quite agree and always leading us to a decision we were both really happy with (thank you, Jo!) We couldn't have completed this project without the introductions made by Jo to her extensive supplier network - including local tile, stone, flooring, curtain and soft furnishings design and supply businesses - all excellent quality. Crucially, when we lost our builder shortly before internal works were due to commence, Jo came to the rescue yet again with an excellent referral who took the project on and has been outstanding. We're hugely grateful to Jo for all of her support, guidance and patience - our house is finally our home and we couldn't have done it without her!

From the very first contact with Jo, I felt at ease with my project. I have used and worked with designers both in the UK and in Europe and have often found them to be quite one dimensional, by that I mean they have a formula and then seek to fit you/your project within that. From our very first video call Jo was willing to explore new ways of working, collaborating with my existing supplier network (as well as introducing some of her own) and has made the whole process EASY. Jo, has a framework within which she operates but seeks to amend it to suit your needs, she challenged our thinking and really made us focus on what we wanted out of the project. Jo's common sense approach to problem solving has ensured that the project sets off with clear direction, a set of fully documented plans (with commentary) and an agreed timeframe and budget. I would definetly use Jo and her team again.

Jo is a super interior designer. Her initial space Planning and master design approach was invaluable when we were setting out, thereafter she brought great attention to detail, programme management and logistics as well as great input to the overall design process so I’d highly recommend her.

It's been such a joy working Jo. From the initial discussions about overall style, to creating and talking through mood boards, and then detailed design, it's been a relief to know that we're getting such expert guidance - but that it's still our design. Jo is great at listening to what we want and finding a way to incorporate that into the design in a way that is so much better than we could have achieved by ourselves. By creating detailed packs for our contractors, there's also far less chance of things going wrong or getting missed on site - one of the key challenges in any project! I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Jo, and to employ her services again.

Where do I start. Jo has been amazing from the very start of the project. She has managed to take a lot of pressure off us by steering us through all the design options. The design packs that she puts together for each element of the build - Tiling, joinery, decor, etc have been so useful to us, but especially the various trades. Jo is an absolute pleasure to work with and has so many great suppliers to recommend. We would use her again without fail.

Jo was a delight to work with. She helped us with extensive renovations to our home, including changes for disabled accessibility, and really went above and beyond to make sure the project kept on track and went as smoothly as possible. I can wholeheartedly and unreservedly recommend her.

This was our second time working with Jo. A couple of years ago she worked with us on a holiday cottage that we wanted to refurbish. When we bought our new home earlier in 2024, we got straight back in touch with her. Jo spent lots of time with us, patiently help us work out exactly the style we wanted for the house so that it would really feel like our home with our own stamp on it. She was also great at introducing new ideas to fit the style but in ways we would never have imagined! Jo was also great working with all the trades from decorators, tillers, plumbers to the electricians; indeed they all commented on how they loved getting her packs which gave them all the drawings, dimensions and loads of other information so they knew exactly what they were doing. We are so pleased with the end result, it is absolutely fantastic and really feels like a special home. Jo is a real professional, personable and a pleasure to work with. Jo has been an absolute asset so far in our project, she has helped us extensively to space plan our two new homes in a commercial development and has been organised and diligent, proactively helping us to manage our own planning and time! Jo has been invaluable with her technical knowledge and expertise and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend her to anyone else looking for help with space planning or interior design projects.

Jo has really transformed our house into a beautiful home. She has managed to guide us from a ‘safe, neutral paint colour choice’ to being bolder and prepared to take risks with colour choice style and design. Jo was recommended to us when we had a house fire, which although was terrible gave us the opportunity to remodel and completely redesign the interior. Jo has helped re configure the room layout, storage, lighting, soft furnishings and so much more. She has supported the builders throughout the project with very detailed packs to ensure the build has gone smoothly. Our home now flows beautifully and reflects our personalities. We love it !

We are building a modern single-story dwelling in our back garden. All was going well up until the first fix when it became painfully obvious that we were out of our depth when it came to space planning, the placement of electrical sockets & switches, and the finish we would like to achieve in terms of interior design & style. Jo was recommended to us by a lighting designer for the electrical socket and switch placements. We sent Jo the architect's plans and after a video meeting with Jo, Jo visited us at our new build site to review our needs and to look at the new building. Jo reviewed the architect's plans and made practical suggestions changing several room sizes, wall positionings, and doorways to better suit real-life living rather than an architect's artistic vision. In an ideal world, we would have engaged with Jo at the same time as instructing the architect, but we were fortunate in that the building project was at a point where changes could easily be made. These suggestions were concisely captured in a to-scale ‘Space Planning’ document that we shared with the building contractor to make the relevant changes. Thereafter, Jo provided us with an 'Electrical & Data Layout' plan which we reviewed over a video conference call and sent to the electrician to complete the first fix electrical requirements. During the initial site meeting, Jo sat down with us for several hours to better understand our likes and dislikes regarding interior design, style, colours, furniture, and furnishings. This was a fascinating process whereby Jo showed us twenty-four styles of interior designs and captured not only our likes and dislikes, but also the furniture that we would be taking to the new building. A few days later Jo submitted a 'Style & Concept Plan,' by room which covered everything from wall and ceiling colours & coverings, types of soft furnishings and furniture, light fittings, and shapes, suggested placements of these, and for the furniture we would be taking with us. This final document has provided us with some excellent ideas as to how we will complete the interior design of our new house, and also provide the decorators with our chosen wall and ceiling colours. Jo is extremely professional, efficient and personable, and we highly recommend her to anyone who requires help no matter how small or large their project may be.

This is our second time working with Jo and we couldn't have done our renovation without her! She went above and beyond for us in every aspect and we are extremely grateful for her support and advice throughout. She is not only an excellent interior designer, but a lovely, approachable person with vast experience and knowledge. Every minute of our engagement with Jo was productive, insightful and above all fun. We were doing a complete redesign of our living room and had some basic ideas that I was not confident I could turn into a finished project. My brief to Jo was basically "how do I realise this when I don't know the market for furniture suppliers, paints, lights, all this stuff. I only know Ikea and B&Q and the one thing I don't want is Ikea and B&Q" Jo took the ideas we had, fleshed them out into a complete design with every element costed, knowing where it was coming from and what it was going to look like. We went through design boards, looking at all sorts of elements that we could incorporate whilst anchoring the whole design around some elements we did not want to change, the suites and some artwork, that gave us our core palette. We now have the most incredible space to relax in. It looks absolutely fabulous and it's been easy to implement because of the very detailed designs and plans Jo provides. I highly recommend her, I am so glad we bit the bullet and went with a designer, there is no way I could have done this, to this level on my own. If you are weighing up the idea, don't hesitate, go for it, and when the time comes, absolutely get the "good" lights, they are a revelation!

We have a Victorian terraced house and were searching for some ideas on how to utilise our space more efficiently to suit our family's needs and inject a bit of personality and our own stamp on the place. I bought house in Kent partly as an investment and partly because I wanted to use it as a home for when I come back to the UK as I’m currently based overseas. After some initial discussions, Joanna came up with a proposal, even suggesting that I might look at altering the way some of the rooms were used. The result is a home that reflects my needs and following some discussions around things I like and didn’t like and she put together a series of ideas on style and decoration, with furnishing suggestions, all of which have been implemented to great effect Being remote made the renovation a challenge and it was great having Joanna on the ground to support with liaising with contractors. She produced electrical and plumbing drawings as well as the softer specifications. I’d definitely use her again if I was to do another project and would recommend her services.

Joanna came highly recommended – and what a find! I needed to fully refurbish a recently bought holiday cottage into a high end let. She spent quite a bit of time really understanding what I liked before coming up with an amazing design. To ensure the cottage really lived up to its potential, I also asked Joanna to project manage the refurb which included full damp proof treatment, rewiring, replumbing and decorating; I also asked her to source and buy all the furnishings. The whole project took less than 3 months plus she kept it under my budget, which was all down to her! A very friendly yet professional interior designer. I would recommend her to anyone.

We contacted Jo when we set out on our new build home. She came in to our project initially as she was recommended by our architect to help us with the functions and flows within the house. She spent some time understanding what we were trying to achieve and then came up with some good ideas about better ways to use the space, especially around our open plan kitchen area and all the adjoining areas. I can also say that without Jo’s involvement we would have struggled to ensure that our home felt homely and reflected our tastes. She also ensured that all chosen items including bathroom fittings and furniture all worked and fitted well in each room. We got on so well with Jo that we asked her to come back a little later in to our process to help us with style, colour and hints and tips on furnishings. She also ended up designing us a number of bespoke pieces of storage which have become invaluable. If we were to ever build another house Jo would be one of the first on our list to call!

I’ve been working with Jo for many years and across a number of different type of projects. She’s incredibly organised and always on top of the detail. As a contractor we enjoy working with her as we always have the information we need in advance and it’s accurate and in a clear format. We worked in partnership with ‘Indigo Eight’ to create a concept, and subsequently, a detailed design for the renovation of our Victorian house in Canterbury, Kent. We wanted to achieve the functionality of a modern family home whilst maintaining and introducing features, and a colour palette, sympathetic to the period of the property. Joanna at Indigo was our primary contact and took the time – and asked the diagnostic questions – which enabled her to understand (and help determine) our brief, whilst clarifying our approach to selecting complimentary furniture and fittings. She acted on our behalf to engage, schedule and manage the various specialist contractors Fully recommended.

Jo offered us the highest level of creativity, expertise and professionalism. We engaged her services for our kitchen / diner and master bedroom remodeling. She helped us think in completely different ways about how we can use the space, whilst also listening to our likes and dislikes. It really helped that Jo worked everything up into 3D, full colour plans which helped us visualise things. Jo also has a great working knowledge of the construction business and so you don't just get beautiful finishes, she can advise how you can work with you trades to make sure things like lighting, sound, visuals and heating are incorporated into the design to make it work best for you. She then went on to provide the contractors with drawings and schedules (which they loved) and this all saved money and stress in the long run. We recommend Jo. Very easy to work with, super friendly and we would definitely work with her again.

We were building a new house and Joanna was recommended as someone who could help hone our thoughts and suggest initial ideas. She ended up doing much more than this , helping us with layouts and flow of the building, which we hadn’t even thought about! She then helped us work out our style and came up with mood boards for colour and furnishings. This was then put into 3D drawings so we got an idea of how it could look. We really enjoyed working with Joanna & recommend her for any project that you’re doing .

We had three large rooms that we wanted to completely refurbish, but weren’t sure what we wanted to do. Joanna was recommended by another contractor working in the house. She worked with us to help us understand style and flow and she put together plans and mood boards to show us how the rooms could be laid out and how they could look. When we agreed on the general style of the rooms she turned the drawings in to 3D renders so we could see the result and were very comfortable to proceed. She continued to work with us on the project, making us a complete construction pack for the building team with schedules and electrical drawings and smart layouts so that everyone had drawings to work from. Joanna then helped us to buy all our furniture for the project using her trade connections to get us really good prices. We are having a break before starting the next phase and Joanna will work on us with that as soon as we are ready. She offers a great service, we are very glad we found her!
