Karen helped us enormously with setting up our new home. We had just moved to Folkestone from abroad so her advice and recommendations really helped us hit the ground running. She was so flexible and responsive to our many questions. She was also very upfront and transparent about invoicing and billing. And most importantly: all her designs were beautiful... She took the time to understand our tastes and needs, and made great proposals. Being new to the area, her tips, referrals and just overall kindness were hugely appreciate! Highly recommend!

My husband and I approached Karen for some inspiration on how to reorganise our bedroom and living room, and how to style the spaces. We have large rooms but the storage we have is limited and whilst the current decor is clean and tidy, we wanted an injection of colour and style to modernise things. Karen gave us many ideas to consider for our spaces - from lighting and soft furnishings to storage, furniture and so on. We have lots of ideas about where to source products and the sort of colours and styles we hadn’t considered to make our home feel fantastic. Wow, wow, wow! What an experience! What an eye opener. I’ve lived in my 160 year old Victorian home for just over 20 years. Fabulous sea view. However, I have felt for quite some time that it has a very ‘dated’ feel to it and just didn't know what to do to bring it to life and also didn't have the inspiration. Karen, from Ruby Red Interiors visited me with her colour palettes and quietly made suggestions as to how to bring my main room together and give it a face lift. I’m SO excited. I have never used a design company before and felt it could be beyond my reach financially so I gingerly put the feelers out and found Ruby Red Interiors quickly responded and discussed my project in some detail. A visit was to be the next step. I was delighted with the terms that were on offer by Karen and felt it more reasonable than I had imagined to hire and tap into the services of a professional. Karen went through an initial design with me a few weeks later. There were elements of things I liked but it was the second design draft that really started to feel cohesive and more like my style. From there on it was a process of discussing components that were put forward by her and myself so it felt like more of a ‘joint venture’. The room was finalised before Christmas and I am delighted with the look and feel of the room. It’s warm, inviting and very sumptuous. Karen has been brilliant from start to finish. She has accommodated ideas we initially had and has come up with a stunning design which really makes an impact. Our hallway now looks amazing and we have had so many compliments about it already. We loved the fact that Karen made it clear that we could pick parts of the design that we loved or go with the whole theme. It was also nice to know that we could do things in stages and that we did not have to do everything at once. This has allowed us to stick to our budget and start with a colour scheme. We are adding more of the other design elements as time goes on. We love the accessories Karen has chosen, which have been carefully selected to enhance the new colour scheme and existing features. Karen also recommended excellent tradespeople who were easy to work with and who have done a very professional job. I loved the fact that we had a female painter and decorator who had such excellent attention to detail. When we were presented with the initial design, we understood what a keen eye Karen has. I had a “wow” moment when I walked back into my house when the decoration had finished. It was a lovely feeling. I would definitely recommend Ruby Red Interiors to anyone who loves their home and wants to make the very best of it. The finished result would not have been the same without Karen’s wonderful ideas. If you are in East Kent (Dover, Deal, Folkestone, Canterbury, Whitstable, Ashford) or even further, then you absolutely should give Karen a call to help with your project. Karen not, only designed, but project managed with greater care and detail. She is inspirational and efficient in equal measure. She brought great light and style into what was previously quite a dark, Victorian cottage. She oversaw the whole renovation and in truth, I cannot recommend her highly enough. I doubt you'll find better.

Karen at Ruby Red Interiors helped me visualise a completely different lay-out for our home, making much better use of space and light, and without having to start from scratch. Karen showed me simple ways of changing/rearranging/upgrading/upcycling and gave me some brilliant links which has made the whole renovating process much quicker. With Ruby Red's professional advice and mood boards I gained the confidence to go ahead with a complete revamp of our living areas within a tight budget.
