Sandra and the Inhabitat Team worked with us on a substantial house refurbishment and an extension to our home in Maidenhead. We enjoyed their process, especially the way they helped us identify the priorities we wanted to focus on and explore different possibilities through their initial scheme design options. Inhabitat were involved from the very beginning to the end of our extension and refurbishment project for our Garde II Listed home in a conservation area. Being local meant they had existing knowledge, understanding and direct experiences of working in our immediate and wider neighbourhood and on similar properties. It also meant that members of the team were happy to call in to understand the dynamic of our lives and our home, built a close working relationship with our chosen builders and were willing and able to be on site at short notice. Thank you Sandra and Lucy for your creative skills and enthusiastic energy that has given us our wonderful, forever home. Right from the beginning, you explained the different stages involved through regular meetings, listened to our ideas, and by asking probing questions, we ended up with plan that was even better than we had hoped for. Our project was effectively taking a small, dark 1930's house that needed significant modernising. You guided us through some options that worked with our budget. We now have a modern but cosy family home that is comfortable, spacious and filled with light. The difference this has made to the quality of our lives is immense.
