We had been planning our dream open plan extension for our home for years and had a reasonable idea what we wanted, but had stalled using a previous architect JDP came to us highly recommended, and we had seen examples of their previous work. John and Tim really turned things around for us. They were able to turn our thoughts into accurate architectural plans, providing excellent solutions to some pretty demanding problems add a few ideas of their own to make the space work. They then helped oversee the entire project from tender to construction and all record time. John and Tim were always very open, approachable and easy to work with. During construction they were on hand to help with any problems that arose. We have now been living in our new house for a year and are delighted with the results. We are very happy with all aspects of the service and would not hesitate to recommend them.

As a grade 2 listed public house we doubted the likelihood of gaining the permission we needed to extend our bustling bar area and kitchen below. From start to finish John and Tim couldn't have been more helpful. Always in contact when the situation changed and always at the end of the phone to answer any queries. They attended all site meetings with the council and full permission was granted swiftly. We couldn't fault the plans either. From the first meeting they understood our vision and transferred that to paper perfectly. Would certainly use again.

I have known John since I first started my first job as a QS whilst working in the same building. I didn't stay long and ultimately set up my own construction business in Hampshire and we have used JPD on a number of occasions on a selection of our smaller design and build commercial projects. I have known John for several years and decided to provide JPD Architecture with an opportunity to design, obtain planning permission and building regulation approval accordingly. My design criteria was extremely unique with specific requests relating to usability of open plan living with particular emphasis on the unique design and quality of workable details. My development criteria has always maintained the ethos and emphasis not only within desirable locations but the new homes must at all times be designed uniquely, totally individual and uncompromising for my specific requirements. Having over 30 years in the development industry it remains critically important to engage the correct team of professional consultants to enable satisfactory execution of my specific requests. I can not speak more highly of John, He proved to be very helpful and always accommodating. A true old school gent who never complained if my personal alterations to a detail etc was required. John concluded the requested alterations and issued the revised drawings pretty much immediately. Any structural bearing he issued and liaised with my structural engineers immediately. John's son Tim has also joined the practice proving to be a real asset. I myself was delighted with Tim's ideas and proposals especially his attention to detail of the internal feature lighting designs i had requested which was by no means an easy task.
