Coming from a creative engineering background, I love to create furniture that is functional as well as being aesthetically pleasing - more so when a tricky space needs some clever engineering to make it work! The workshop enables my team and I to produce the highest quality furniture, hand made to the exact specification of each individual client using a variety of different materials, techniques and finishes. We pride ourselves on producing beautiful and innovative designs alongside a personal and responsive service. Martin created a beautiful bespoke cabinet, shelving unit and loft ladder in birch ply for my home office. He was a pleasure to work with - responsive, helpful and contributed really great design ideas about how best to utilise a tricky space. We're delighted with the result and would definitely recommend Martin's work.

I would use one word to qualify Martin’s work - AMAZING. Martin did an incredible job by creating a library/bench in our living room and a walking wardrobe including shoji doors. The quality of the work was just perfect and almost more importantly, the interactions with Martin were just really smooth. We had relatively good ideas of what we wanted and Martin understood them and was able to “create” it. A real pleasure working with him and will (hopefully) work with him again in the future.

Martin designed, built and fitted custom under stairs units including drawers and shelves on runners, a custom made retractable clothes hanging pole and shoe storage. How work was to a very high standard and I will definitely look to use his services again in future. Great value for money and someone who takes care in his craft.

We had a brilliant experience with Martin, who created a huge shelving structure for our playroom, beautiful alcove shelving and cupboard units for our living room as well as hallway storage and coat hanging cupboards. Throughout the design and installation process Martin was extremely professional, he was great at communicating and making sure that the designs were exactly how we wanted them and the finished product is extremely high quality - we couldn't be happier! He's made the most of the space, has been sensitive to the style of our house, thought creatively about all the details like lighting and under floor ventilation whilst also making extremely robust and beautiful product. Martin did a fantastic job designing, building and installing my new fitted cupboards. Martin was fantastic - he took into account all my pretences and the type of style and build of the property. As a result I have fitted cupboard that are absolutely perfect - I can’t fault anything! Thanks so much Martin - I will definitely be booking you in again soon for more work!

I highly recommend Martin. He has made a few things for me, including a very large freestanding bookcase. He worked closely with the architect and me to ensure the design came to fruition. His design flair, engineering and carpentry expertise and craftsmanship, as well as attention to detail, really made a difference. It's a great piece, which the photos that will follow clearly show. He also made some amazing kitchen doors from reclaimed wood, despite the poor condition of the wooden boards we found online. The result is as good as anything you'll see on Pinterest! Finally he made a lovely handrail for a staircase. I look forward to having the opportunity to commissioning him again.

Martin has completed a number of projects for me and I’m very pleased with how all of them have turned out. He takes tremendous care in his work from the smallest of design details right through to the finish so each piece is bespoke to my needs and style. He has built some really clever, yet aesthetically beautiful storage solutions for me which reflects his true craftsmanship. He is also very willing to work collaboratively with my builder which is an added bonus!

I am very familiar with Martin's work and was very pleased when he created my fully bespoke entertainment system out of walnut veneer. He maintained a professional and thorough approach from start to finish and his eye to detail clearly shows that he takes immense pride in his work. I appreciate his honesty and experience in his chosen craft and we are currently working together on two bespoke kitchenette designs for a project in The Netherlands. His expertise is greatly appreciated.

Martin of MW Creative Carpentry designed and built a bespoke kitchen in our newly extended Edwardian house. Martin's work was of the finest craftsmanship, meticulous and superbly executed. The result was beautiful and highly practical. Martin is a clever craftsman who combines skill with a keen ear and eye to clients' needs: his natural and easeful manner make him a sympathetic colleague in working with on projects.

From our rough sketches and a chat Martin produced designs and then fitted two excellent shelving units for alcoves in our living room. He was professional, knowledgeable, helpful and friendly. He stained the wood to match existing furniture and fitted them so we are able to remove them easily if required. We were very pleased with the result and I still look at them with pleasure every time I go into the room!

Commented: Small Bedroom Wardrobes?As mentioned above a good carpenter/handyman could fit a sliding door system for a reasonable price, but may not be able to maximise the space as custom joinery would. https://www.houzz.co.uk/projects...

Commented: Box-sets - what series have you lost hours to?Stranger things! Only one series out at the moment but the best thing I've watch since breaking bad. New series is out later this year. Can't wait! Oh and Game of thrones of course!!
