Asking MyWoodFlooring to do some work on our house was the best decision we could have made. We needed a new wood floor in a hall way, and a new wooden staircase putting in to replace some rather tired carpet, so we looked around carefully for a company that was local and well thought of. We're very glad we selected this company. Our craftsman was Neill, and he is a very fine workman indeed. He worked solidly for three days to ensure a high quality finish on the floor and staircase. He was prompt, cheerful, very good at his job, and also kept the workspace very clean. When he had to cut sections of flooring outside on our driveway, he swept up after himself, and left the site very tidy. He is an outstanding example of what a professional craftsman should be, and I would recommend him to anyone. We are delighted at the end result, which looks superb. The whole experience with this company was very good, from the moment Darren came round to assess the job and provide some samples of the sort of materials they could offer, to the quote we were given. I would strongly recommend MyWoodFlooring to anyone who wants a quality wood floor laying by quality craftsmen. They were excellent from start to finish.

Outstanding craftspersonship. 100sqm solid oak herringbone flooring over whole ground floor. Darren and his team created a beautiful floor. Skilfully laid around thresholds and obstacles. Absolutely worth the relatively small additional cost over the Amtico we first considered, then engineered wood. This feels wonderful to walk on, makes whole house warmer than previous LVT and carpet (concrete floors). As you look across it the natural wood glows and reflects light in a textured grained way that is completely different from vinyl, which had an unpleasant uniform grey sheen as light refracts through transparent wear layer. So while Vinyl may be quite convincing when you look down, it’s just a plastic floor when you look across a room. Apart from the wonderful materials and superb installation, Darren was a transparent, straightforward, knowledgeable, reliable and honest person to deal with. Furthermore Nick, Steve and Millie were a real pleasure to have in our home and couldn’t have been more respectful and obliging, as well as being exceptionally skilled. So I would wholeheartedly recommend both having a solid oak floor and Mywoodflooring to carry this out. This is not a for DIY job or a generic flooring person. You need highly skilled experienced craftspeople who absolutely understand the materials and process. The cost, when compared to kitchens, Crittal French doors, or other high end home improvements, is not high. My advice is do not try to compare it to cheap carpet or plastic, it’s like comparing a child’s scooter to a Bentley. If you’re going to invest in new flooring, if you can possibly stretch to it, just do it right. This floor will still look fantastic in 100 years, just as parquet still looks in Edwardian or 30’s houses. And get the professionals in to install it.

We couldn’t be happier with the outcome of the new wooden floor which My Wood Flooring have installed throughout our home. From the outset, Karen and Darren gave us sound advice and provided a wide range of samples to help us pick the perfect style to complete our renovation. Even when we struggled to find the perfect shade of grey, they exceeded our expectations by coming up with a supplier who could create a custom stained finish in the exact shade we were looking for! Nick and Millie (our installers) were fantastic. They weren’t phased at having to work around other trades and their attention to detail was second to none. We would thoroughly recommend Karen, Darren and the rest of their team for any wooden flooring project. Not only is the flooring itself beautiful but the level of customer service they have provided has been exceptional.

We are thrilled with our parquet herringbone floor which Darren recommended and his team installed throughout our downstairs. It was a tricky job due to cutting around kitchen units and several companies had said it was not possible but Mywoodflooring took on the challenge and finished it beautifully. Wow, what a lucky find. I try to use trade people from recommendation, however couldn’t find anyone with availability. I called a few companies and came across My Wood Flooring. Their work has been of the highest quality and cheaper than the other organisations I looked at. The flooring they suggested and we used was of a higher quality than the other suppliers and they fitted it perfectly. I can wholeheartedly recommend them

We couldn't be more delighted with our new engineered wood, herringbone floor and could not recommend the team more highly. Darren was super helpful from the outset giving us samples and costing the different options. The area is large, probably c85sqm, an open plan kitchen, living, dining space and the new floor goes around corners, into a wc, into a bay window, around a fireplace, not straightforward. The fitting team were incredible, the care they took in the setting out and fitting was exceptional and nice guys to have in the house. In addition to the V4 Zig Zag flooring the team also fitted some gorgeous fired earth tiles in the entrance that blended into the floor seamlessly. Will add pictures when the room is decorated and finished.
