Nicola Parkin Design

Nicola has helped us transform the ground floor of our house into beautiful and elegant living spaces. We've been thrilled to see her ideas come to life - she has created something that's stylish and sophisticated yet remains homely and welcoming. We could not have done it without her! I have had the pleasure of photographing several of Nicolas projects. It was finished to the highest standards with great attention to detail. It was a joy to photograph her work and I look forward to seeing more of her completed projects in the future.

Our home is grade 2 listed and previously we’ve lived in very modern houses. We were struggling ourselves to come up with a design which would be sympathetic to the heritage of the house but still feel contemporary. Our old furniture in our new house looked absolutely terrible so we were also keen to get moving quite quickly! Our original brief to Nicola was to design the 2 reception rooms and the conservatory, she came up with some fantastic ideas right from the beginning and was responsive to our feedback. The plans were costed transparently which has helped with budgeting, Nicola’s fees were reasonable and straightforward to understand. We subsequently decided to expand the scope of the work that we’d like to do on the house so we have not yet been able to fully implement the interior design plan although we have implemented some of it while we wait for planning and listed building consent. Our confidence in Nicola’s work so far led us to ask her for help with some of the upstairs rooms also. We are very excited about the overall vision which Nicola has created and confident that the final result will give us a wonderful family home with very attractive, welcoming and functional communal spaces with some wow.
