One of the best decisions we made was working with PMB for our large rebuild / renovation. Having worked with 2 other building firms on our previous house, I can tell you wholeheartedly that Colin and Olga are a cut above the rest. Our project included: double story rear, side, and loft extension plus a complete renovation including changing the facade of the house. Colin, Olga and their team worked very hard consistently. They were passionate and have high standards and have produced high quality work as a result. Their communication was also very good and they are really a pleasure to deal with, as they are genuinely honest and lovely people. Their team were also very nice and polite to deal with. Throughout the project, nothing was too much trouble and they were very patient when it came to any last minute decisions. No build will be without issues that crop up along the way - Colin and Olga dealt with them professionally, timely, and with integrity. Having used two lots builders on a previous home, we know first hand what issues can crop up and how stressful the process can be, and had sworn never to do it again (famous last words). So went into this project cautiously but from the beginning it was very clear that Colin and Olga were very professional and the project as a whole was surprisingly not even stressful. We had found PMB via a friend who raved about them and to be honest I thought maybe my friend was exaggerating a little, but having now been through the process I am very confident that if you choose PMB for your project, you will be just as happy!

PMB undertook a complete renovation and extension of our three - now five - bedroom 1930s house. This included removing a lot of internal walls, rebuilding others, new concrete subfloor downstairs, fitting from scratch plumbing/electrics, completely replacing the roofs, exterior front and rear landscaping, plastering and decorating throughout, kitchen and wardrobe cabinet carcass fitting, fitting external wall insulation and rendering the whole house, new drainage, etc. PMB's part of the project was completed on schedule over 10 months or so and to a high standard. Much of the day to day management of the project was undertaken by a project manager that we hired separately, who has a lot of experience running similar projects and rated PMB highly. He reported frequently being taken aback at the speed with PMB progressed during certain portions of the work. In our interactions with Colin and Olga we found them helpful and adaptable with a good eye for detail. Inevitable hiccups like the odd miscommunicated or misunderstood requirement were dealt with with the minimum of fuss. Similarly, they were able to handle late or changing requirements without it becoming an issue. For example, we decided to add an MVHR machine half way through the project, which entailed adapting various things throughout the house to make room for the ducting.

We are absolutely delighted with the work carried out by PMB and cannot recommend them highly enough. Our architect recommended PMB to us, and from our very first meeting with Colin and Olga, we knew they were the right team for our project. We undertook a complete renovation of our three-storey house, including new plumbing, a new heating system, a full electrical rewire, a garage conversion, and a rear extension. It was a major project, and we wanted a team we could trust completely. We are not particularly hands-on when it comes to construction, but we do have a strong eye for design and aesthetics. Colin and Olga took care of all the technical aspects while helping us bring our vision to life. Their knowledge, professionalism, and communication gave us confidence throughout the entire process. As a very creative person, I often had new ideas, questions, and occasional changes to the plans. They were incredibly patient, always willing to listen, offer advice, and find practical solutions. We quickly realised we didn't need our architect to oversee the build because communication with Colin and Olga was so clear, responsive, and effective. The quality of their work is exceptional. Their attention to detail and pride in their craftsmanship are evident throughout our home, and their entire team was professional, respectful, and a pleasure to have around. We lived on-site for five months during the renovation, and they were always considerate of our family and living situation. The project was completed exactly as promised, at the seven-month mark they had estimated from the beginning, which was particularly impressive given the scale of the renovation. We are extremely happy with the final result and honestly could not have done it without them. Colin and Olga are the perfect partnership, and it is clear that they genuinely love what they do. Choosing PMB was one of the best decisions we made, and we would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone looking for a trustworthy, skilled, and dedicated construction team.

We've recently worked with PMB Construction on two projects, one of which was a large scale, remodel, extension and refurbishment project in North London. Colin and Olga's professionalism was second to none, and their collaborative efforts and hard work help make our design vision come to life. Our client was very happy with the outcome, a true transformation of what was a dilapidated semi-detached house, into what we have coined the Pink Castle, a fun whilst practical family home. The team was highly skilled and versatile, and helped complete the project as quickly as possible, whilst adjusting their schedules to suit external third party delays. We have been delighted with PMB and the care they have taken with our project. The work was done by craftsmen who were really meticulous about the finish. The whole project progressed with a few delays as we would expect but the end result is of a high standard and just built really well. The builders and craftsmen were really pleasant and we are rather sorry they are no longer around, in some ways we miss them. Ours was a whole house extension and renovation in a traditional style but with some modern twists and these were navigated really well. We lived in during the project which was difficult for us and them but we all go through it! The project was overseen by an architect who we also recommend. When we had discussions between the builders and architect and us we always resolved them, everyone working constructively to find the best solution to whichever problem presented. Olga was really helpful with ideas to help make the necessary choices and also really helpful in being able to understand what we wanted when we had some off the wall ideas.

We could not have wished for a better team to complete our ground floor & loft extension and internal refurbishment. Colin and Olga's attention to detail, their patience (which we tested often!) and impartial advice were invaluable on our 12 month long project. Despite hearing many stories of people's nightmare experiences with builders, we feel very fortunate to have found PMB Construction proving that there are honest contractors out there who employ hardworking tradesmen that take pride in their work. Colin has very high expectation's of his team (often higher than ours!) and is frequently hands-on. Olga's support throughout the project was excellent helping our project to remain on track and ensured effective communication between everyone involved. A large project like this is stressful by any stretch of the imagination but we found working with Colin and Olga incredibly reassuring. Echoing earlier reviews here, we would not hesitate to recommend PMB construction to anyone and have already had interest from friends and colleagues.

Colin and Olga did a fantastic job of renovating our 5 bedroomed Edwardian home. This included a new roof, loft extension, some layout changes, new plumbing and electrics throughout, boiler, bathrooms, tiling, restoring period features and laying patio tiles. The work was finished to a very high standard, and the attention to detail was impressive. The project completed on time and on budget. Colin and Olga worked very well as a team, they were really dedicated to the project and to meeting our expectations. Having Olga on hand to take care of the logistics of the project was especially helpful.

Job: 15 month project in North London, ~4000 sqft renovation which was close to an almost complete new build, involving rear / side extensions, loft conversion, new roof, internal gutting and redoing (wiring, plumbing, new internal walls, new stairs, decorating), garden works (planters, turfing, play area installation), front patio and various other things Overall view: Would wholeheartedly recommend Colin and Olga in the highest possible regard. Pleasure working with them, and would do so again in a heartbeat. Specifics: There were countless things which we really valued, but a few aspects in particular stand out which I’ve noted below. Encapsulating all these points is trust. We placed a tremendous amount of trust in Colin and Olga given the large sums involved and the asymmetric information aspect of a build (particular with us having little build experience), and we were pleased that we never had reason to question this trust and if anything it grew stronger as time passed and we saw increasing evidence of how they operated. - High standards: they really take pride in their work, always putting workmanship and quality of results first (often at their own expense; particular examples include decorating methods, wiring methods, where they had some discretion), almost nearing perfectionism. At no points were any evidential short cuts taken, in fact often the longer harder but ultimately higher quality route was chosen. - Thoughtful: on many occasions they brought items to our attention which we hadn’t thought of or noticed (and even other trade professionals hadn’t thought of), and inevitably would have resulted in more hassle for them with no economic benefit (if anything would cost them more). This was invaluable to us as lay folks highly reliant on them in this regard. Colin was often on site and had a very good command of every aspect of work being undertaken by his team and any sub-contractors (and even 3rd parties we’d employed directly ourself). Even on unexpected, less precedented and complex build problems, Colin / Olga always came up with creative and thoughtful solutions which we were very impressed with - Easy to work with: they were very flexible to our needs, and no ask or silly question or particular request was too much. Communication was excellent at all stages, including today even 12 months after completion when they are busy with other major projects. Even during more challenging times, they were very reasonable and maintained a high level of professionalism. I would describe their business as having the best of both worlds - a premium builder experience but with a family run / personal / small firm approach.

PMB carried out a loft conversion, side return extension and other refurbishment of our home last year and we are so happy with the job that they did on our house. Olga and Colin are 2 extremely talented and friendly professionals who care deeply about doing a good job and doing it respectfully. From what I have heard about other people's experiences, Colin and Olga stand out in terms of their attention to detail and open and honest communication. They don't cut corners, they are interested in an excellent finish and they are lovely to work with. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them.

Reliable and professional, family run business offering a personalised service. Very fast - we had to supply materials (tiles, vanity units, kitchens etc etc) and we had to be chased by the building company! My neighbours were also very complimentary of their work and manners. Thoroughly recommended. I had been introduced to them by another job they previously did for one of my old school friends in North London. My project was a complete refurbishment / renovation of a house not previously been renovated for 40 years: new roof, new internal partitions, creation of 5 bathrooms, 5 bedrooms, loft conversion by lowering the ceiling of the floor below to enable a better height for the loft. The chimney had to be supported as well in a very strict area of London: Hampstead Garden Suburb. In addition, minor remnant works / issues which arose after the end of the project were swiftly rectified by the team.

Colin, Olga, Roman and the team were great. They completed my East London loft conversion to a very good standard and ahead of schedule. They were polite and professional throughout the process and accommodating of small changes and additional work that could run in parallel. PMB's pricing was not necessarily the cheapest, but very competitive in the market and I did my fair share of searching - believe me. However, price always needs to balanced with workmanship and this was great. Thank you to you all.

PMB construction were amazing! They were really efficient, professional and respectful of the house and kept it clean (as can be when knocking down walls and chimneys!) and tidied up each evening. They were also really helpful in sourcing worktops and other items and advising on elements of design. Nothing was too much trouble and they were really reasonably priced. I highly recommend them.

Re: PMB Construction (UKLtd.) We have just recently – late October 2020 – taken possession of our new kitchen / dining / living room refurbishment and extension when our previous kitchen and dining room were totally gutted to create this amazing new space. We are really delighted with the end result of some months of really hard and , at times , complex work .Colin's whole team were outstandingly hard-working , conscientious , utterly trustworthy and reliable . They always arrived promptly on site and , at the end of the day , took care to tidy and clear up, whilst always displaying much appreciated consideration toward our neighbours. We were kept well-informed at all times of costs , solutions / advice to any slight problems or alternatives to our original plans . Communication was excellent at all times. The standard of workmanship has been really high and cannot be faulted . There were no hold-ups on their part whatsoever and we are now really enjoying our new , spacious open-plan kitchen and living / dining room . It's wonderful to look out on to our small garden which actually seems much larger now due to the large bi-folding doors and to observe mother nature much closer to hand. I was recommended PMB through a local friend who contracted them to do a house refurbishment. Excellent work all around. We had an agreed scope of works but after we started the build we asked for amendments which PMB were very flexible and accommodating. The base build quality provided by Roman was excellent and the various trades contractors (electrical, plumbing and decorating) also very good. In all we completed a loft extension and remodelling of 2 other rooms downstairs including a bathroom and bedroom which were reduced back to brick, resized and fitted out. I am very satisfied with the work PMB provided and would have no hesitation in recommending them for other similar work.

I have assigned to PMB Construction a project involving the conversion of a house into three flats, together with a significant extension of floor-space. The team was truly professional, quality of the work was excellent, the price charged was fair, while the team ensured that they maintained a good relationship with neighbours. Colin also maintained an excellent working relationship with my architect and project manager (Gordon Young Architects) and together they addressed issues promptly, proposing alternatives when required. As I spend most of my time abroad, their proactive approach in keeping me informed of progress was also much appreciated.

We have had an fantastic redevelopment experience with PBM, bringing a very tried Edwardian House back to life. From the start to finish the Team on site were excellent. During a 6 Month redevelopment they were courteous and respectful of the neighbours in all aspects from delivers / general noise / waste removal etc... we had comments from several properties complimenting the work. The workmanship is excellent and attention to detail beyond our expectations. The project came in on budget - the only additions were our choices. We couldn't have wished for a better redevelopment experience.

PMB did a kitchen side extension for me, as well as knocking through the upstairs bathroom and toilet and installing an understairs toilet. I am very happy with the result and also the process. I hadn't done a structural building project before, and found Colin very helpful in answering questions, explaining the different stages of the build and giving advice when it was needed. The build progressed according to timetable, and was only thrown off course because of the late delivery of the bifold doors, a delay which was dealt with helpfully and with flexibility. The administration was efficiently handled too and the project came in on budget. The teams who worked on site were invariably pleasant and courteous and worked hard. The result is work of the highest standard and I have a beautiful and transformed kitchen. I particularly appreciated Colin's calm and pleasant manner, his professionalism, knowledge, and his attention to detail.

We hired PMB Construction for our Loft Conversion job. It was our first conversion, so we were worried about it a great deal. Thanks to the team it all went smoothly. Any questions or concerns we had during the process were answered immediately and comrehensively. Colin – was managing our project and was always there for us. There were a couple of changes we had to make during the conversion as things didn't go to plan, and Colin was extremely helpful explaining how these would affect the entire work, and advising us on possible next steps. The end result is fantastic - high standard quality work. We are so happy and so proud of our new conversion, that keep showing it to our friends and family. We would highly recommend Colin and his team as they are reliable and knowledgeable professionals.

I used PMB Construction twice. First time 5 years ago when Colin and his team renovated my flat from a very poor state to high spec, including moving of the kitchen to a different room with pipe work under the floor. We sold the flat 2 years later for a 50% higher price. Naturally we used the same team for renovation of our new house in an extremely bad condition and abandoned garden and within 9 months house was unrecognisable with a new layout, staircase, garden, windows and everything else. For my future projects I am planning to use PMB Construstion again.

PMB Construction have done a fantastic job on the complete architectural refurbishment of our period house. The director took the time to understand our aims and concerns and worked closely with us with courtesy and intelligence to realise the design while keeping costs to the original budget. He was always calm and competent, happy to accommodate small changes where needed and spending the time required on site to get things right.
