Prime Oak

Horrendous experience, don't do it!! We bought Prime Oak’s standard 2-bedroom oak annexe (not even a bespoke build) and the whole process was a nightmare. Communication was awful, promises weren’t kept, and even our builder couldn’t get clear answers. After paying over £150,000, we’re being threatened with legal proceedings for the last £3000ish, which we refuse to pay because of legitimate contractual shortcomings from Prime Oak. The final result is nowhere near worth the price, let alone the hassle and stress. Save yourself and avoid!

Great design which really works for our lifestyle; quality product which cost way more than we had planned but once the budget was agreed was meet within the agreed budget and timescales, fitted by experts with great can do attitude. Primeoak recommended our builders, Centurion Builders who have been exceptional in their work quality and customer service.

We are extremely pleased with our garden room designed and constructed by Prime Oak in 2001. It has been one of the most-used rooms in the house. We use it in all seasons because it’s warm in winter and, with its solid roof with pyramid roof light, it’s cool in summer. It has been used over the years for entertaining friends, for family gatherings and celebrations and by our grandchildren who love it as a play area. With our imminent retirement, we ourselves intend to enjoy it even more!

We are extremely happy with our Prime Oak garage, it was exactly what we wanted and a beautiful addition to our property. We found everyone involved with the build process to be very polite and professional. I would definitely recommend the company to others, as we found them a pleasure to work with.

We are very happy with our new Prime Oak seasoned oak Garden Room, which has made an incredible difference to our home. The whole process arranged by Prime Oak was seemless and easy, from Planning Permission, Building Regs, SAP calculations and then delivery of the air dried oak building through to installation and completion. Truly professional, and we were kept notified of every part of the process from planning, to Building Regs through PWC, SAP by Steve O'brien and installation by Simon and Rich who were brilliant - with 34 years combined experience in fitting Prime Oak buildings! The brand new Prime Oak lorry arrived at 7.45am on the booked day and the guys offloaded all of that beautiful seasoned oak with the utmost of care, ensuring each and every timber was positioned correctly to be put into place, amazing - quite an experience to watch, we have to admit! Frame went up without issue, and was a pleasure to provide tea and coffee for these most qualified and experienced installers who left the site tidy and safe every night. Roofworks were then completed, and Simon and Rich returned to clean the Oak (Yes, they cleaned it with great care without taking any of the authenticity of the rustic seasoned oak away - again was great to watch!). Doors, windows and glass was then fitted - the 4 part bi-folding Oak doors are a dream! We then protected all of that beautiful Oak with Osmo 420 clear as recomened by the staff at Prime Oak, protecting that amazing product for years to come. All in a very pleasing experience, with an amazing 'value for money' seasoned Oak building which adds value to the property and increases the usable space inside our house significantly. Thank you to all at Prime Oak - we will be telling everyone we meet about how good you are!

Prime Oak as the most professional company I have ever worked with. The process from start to finish has been a complete pleasure. We designed with their team an orangery to complete a conversion project - it was done to time on budget and is absolutely beautiful. I am incredibly proud of it and them. I would highly recommend the team and if I ever build another oak building or orangery I will definitely be calling Prime Oak.

Our PrimeOak Orangery is a fantastic addition at the rear of our house in the Cotswolds and it looks as if it has always been there. The planning application was made by Prime Oak and approved quickly. Prime Oak was able to bring the installation forward by a month which tested my builders schedule somewhat but turned out fine. The fitters did a superb job, they were the same two who built my other Prime Oak project which is a 15 m garage and workshop. We live in an ANOB and both structures blend in perfectly. Overall the products are very high quality and support from Prime Oak throughout the process has been excellent.

Had a great experience- the project Little Lodge was delivered on time and budget. The staff were always very professional and helpful. There were a couple of hiccups with windows being delayed and a slight problem with the roof post completion - but these were quickly rectified. The roofers are brilliant and very experienced. The house which was very tricky to build with restricted access and in the centre of a conservation area was a finalist in the LABC building excellence awards. I would certainly use Prime Oak again on my next project.

The orangery that Prime Oak built for us is now the hub of our house. It has added a real wow factor, with it's double storey centre and beautiful wood structure. We love it!
