Ruler Interior Design

Hi, I was introduced to Lisa by a friend who had a fantastically designed kitchen by her, so I contacted Lisa to look at designing my lounge which I thought I had it all worked out, but Lisa came in and changed it from an average lounge to a fantastic lounge, she has great vision on thinking outside the box and has created a wonderful lounge for me, but also she has a close relationship with contractors and suppliers which can help to keep the cost down. So I would thoroughly recommend her if you want to go from average to stunning

Lisa project managed our new bathroom. From design to sourcing and buying products to providing professional contractors. Her team delivered a beautiful, high-end bathroom that we are happy with. Good job!

We had a very clear vision for our home, and Lisa brought it to life beautifully. She really listened to what we wanted and translated it into something even better than we’d imagined. She works with a fantastic network of traders and suppliers, all of whom were not only highly skilled but also genuinely friendly and easy to have around the house — which made a big difference during the process. Throughout the project, she was consistently professional, efficient, and incredibly well-organised. She kept everything moving smoothly, was always punctual, and clearly takes real pride in meeting timelines — something we really appreciated. On top of that, she’s just a pleasure to work with: warm, approachable, and responsive at every stage. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend her and would happily work with her again in the future.

Excellent job and superb attention to detail the finish project looked incredible Highly recommend.

We honestly couldn’t be happier with the transformation Lisa has created in our dining room. What was once a space we actively disliked has been completely reimagined into something truly beautiful, warm, and unique — and, most importantly, a room we now love using as a family. From the very start, Lisa listened to us and had a vision for the space, bringing together stunning cabinetry, wallpaper, and furniture (including the dining table) in a way that feels very “us”. Lisa also took complete charge of the project management, bringing in a team of highly skilled tradespeople and coordinating the entire process. Communication was excellent throughout, timelines were well managed, and nothing ever felt stressful. She was incredibly hands-on, proactive, and thorough — especially when it came to dealing with snags and finishing touches, making sure everything was completed to a very high standard. The end result has exceeded our expectations. The room now feels special, personal, and thoughtfully designed — a space that reflects us and works beautifully for everyday family life. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Lisa to anyone looking for an interior designer who combines creativity, professionalism, and outstanding project management.

I have the pleasure of working with Lisa from Ruler Interiors and have been collaborating with her for past three years as an Interior Design Technician, and it has been a truly positive experience. Lisa is incredibly professional, creative, and detail-oriented. She communicates clearly, supports collaboration, and consistently brings thoughtful and inspiring ideas to the table. Working alongside her has been both enjoyable and enriching, and I highly recommend her for her talent, dedication, and warm approach to design.

I have worked with Lisa for five years now, and I find her helpful, enthusiastic, and an absolute pleasure to work with. She has a beautiful personality, which makes working for her both enjoyable and inspiring. Lisa is easy to get along with and highly adaptable to any situation. I would not hesitate to recommend her to anyone — her talent, confidence, and reliability are clear to all who have seen her work

Lisa's expertise in window dressing proved to be a transformative experience for me. As someone with limited artistic flair, her patience and encouragement were instrumental in guiding me through the design process. What sets Lisa apart is her ability to bring out creativity without being assertive, making the collaboration both enjoyable and tailored to my vision. Her extensive knowledge of materials and thoughtful suggestions added a layer of excitement to the selection process. Lisa's professionalism was evident in her organised approach and attention to detail. She not only provided multiple solutions for creating a beautiful Roman blind but also ensured that the final design seamlessly integrated with the overall aesthetic of my home. I wholeheartedly recommend Lisa for anyone seeking a designer who combines creativity, professionalism, and a genuine passion for enhancing living spaces and I look forward to working with her with my window dressing project in my kitchen/dinning room.

Lisa has worked with me to transform my flat from a magenta nightmare into a wonderful light and airy getaway space. I have greatly appreciated her working style and flexibility which has enabled me to do as much or as little as I have wanted to in the project, while providing expert professional opinions, advice and project management. She has a great network of local trades contacts and all of the subcontractors she has used have been excellent; I am so pleased with the quality of their work and the outcome of the project. I would highly recommend Ruler Design for any similar refurbishment work.

Working with Lisa was always an amazing experience!! I started as an intern in 2019 and I have been so greatful for such a fantastic opportunity of meeting her clients, developing concepts together and visiting design exhibitions in London! It has been incredible to gain knowledge from such a professional designer who is also so fun and kind. I truly loved working with Lisa but couldn’t stay in the UK so we continued working remotely. Even though we're in different countries, it’s always so much joy to work with Lisa! I learn a lot from every project and continually get inspired by Lisa’s unlimited creativity and care about each client.

I have been working with Lisa over 2 years now since I moved to Bournemouth, my job is making Bespoke Soft Furnishing for her designed homes. This is purely coming from my personal experience with her towards every projects she is dealing with, she always make sure that her clients needs come first and working hard with her team to achieve it. She loves what’s she does and that shows how approachable and friendly she is towards her colleague and clients. I am very lucky to have found her and working with her and they will be many more exciting projects to come for sure! Kind regards Marika’s Soft Furnishings

I engaged Lisa to help me design a layout change to the downstairs of my house. Partly for old age planning and partly for making a larger entertaining space. I have never done anything like this before. I thought I had a rough idea what I wanted. What Lisa did was throw ideas and concepts at me which really challenged my whole thought process and ended in a design I was really happy with. She works with Architects and other experienced professionals to get the whole picture in place with detailed costs and support for legal planning and structural changes. A whole load of stuff I wouldn’t have known about. Thank you Lisa. You are awesome!

This amazing lady transformed my life. She has fantastic ideas and seems to instinctively understand exactly what will work and what won't. My home, since she worked her magic has become a sanctuary and a place of peace.

Lisa has completed designs for me for the renovation of a dated apartment, sourced contractors to carry out the work, arranged supply of all the furniture and overseen the whole project being done. I would whole heartedly recommend Lisa to anyone considering any or all of the above services. I felt listened to and in control through all stages of the project with the help and support of an experienced professional. I am extremely happy with how things have turned out - I have neither the time nor the expertise to have achieved anything like the same result on my own.

Lisa is a fantastic interior designer. We have taken on some office space which we will be using as coworking. Lisa has given us inspirational thoughts on how we can dress up the office to making it an exciting place to work. In addition coming up with simple solutions to help with the acoustics.

This is the second time we have used Ruler design. Lisa did a fantastic job converting our kitchen and dining room a couple of years ago, so we had the front room, stairs and bedrooms done this time. It was very challenging as just as we started we went in to the first lock down, and the house was like a building site. Lisa was great and supported us throughout and made sure she got the trades and materials to the job as quickly as possible, with trades still working throughout as much as possible. As always the trades Lisa uses were fantastic. We were especially pleased with the fitted wardrobes in both bedrooms and at a fantastic price too!

Lisa was brave enough to take me on as a client when I called her out of the blue from abroad asking for help in furnishing an apartment which we were buying in UK. I found her to be full of good suggestions and ideas despite the difficulty of getting into the property which was under renovation and also dealing remotely with me. Lisa always returned emails promptly and was readily available on the phone. Unfortunately the purchase fell through but I would not hesitate to contact Lisa again for interior design for any future purchase.

I just want to thank Lisa and her team for another great and professional job. Lisa has worked on several projects for me over the years, and most recently she worked on the finishing touches for my dining room. She helped me to pick the most beautiful fabric for my roman blinds which co-ordinates and works so well with my velvet chair. She also had made some wonderful cushions and the quality is excellent. It oozes class and I am so pleased with her choice. It has changed for the feel for the room and its different to anything I have seen. Thank you Lisa and your team. I will not hesitate in recommending you.

Lisa is amazing, she comes up with so many ideas and really Taylor’s it to you. It’s just a bespoke service and you know you ll get the best quality of products.

Lisa is just absolutely amazing! From start to finish her work is just fantastic. Her ideas, attention to detail and expertise are just what we needed. Thank you so much! We love everything that you have done for us!”

It was a pleasure to work with Lisa and her team recently on an interior design concept for one of our clients. We were very pleased with the vision document and CGI's she created for us and I would definitely recommend her services to others.

Lisa is an absolute delight. Such a pleasure to deal with and her knowledge and expertise of interior design is first class. She listened, offered advice as to the service she could provide, showed samples and took the time to listen. I look forward to using Lisa in the very near future and have already recommended her to a family member who is looking to redesign a number of rooms.

Lisa did a fantastic job converting our kitchen and dining room in to one big kitchen. Lisa came up with great ideas we never could have imagined ourselves. The dark old kitchen has been transformed in to a bright open space. Lisa takes time to understand what we like and gave us great ideas for the kitchen units, work tops and also some lovely accessories. This was a challenging project as there were structural changes on a very old cottage. Lisa managed the whole project as well as the design, this really took the stress of the whole project away from us. Lisa has really good relationships with lots of different trades people and kept the project moving at a fast pace. All the trades people went the extra mile, even working late on a bank holiday weekend. Also we were given all the certificates for works required. I highly recommend Lisa for any project design and management, great value for money too.

I've worked with Lisa a number of times now (on a range of projects) and each time she exceeds my very high expectations. She takes my vague brief and turns it into exactly what I want! I also appreciate that she is extremely respectful of the budget I set and there are never any nasty surprises. In fact, she often finds me fantastic options that I assumed weren't possible for the budget set. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Lisa of Ruler Interior Design and look forward to working with her again in the future.

An extraordinary agency with a keen eye for detail and always exceeds expectation. Lisa Gershinson is knowledgeable and an expert in her field and adds good taste and practicality to boot. An agency with gusto and flair.

I highly recommend Lisa and Ruler Interior Design. I was having major structural works in my kitchen and dining room. Lisa literally saved me thousands of pounds. Being a single mum with no building experience I really didn't know what I was doing. The trades she recommended were excellent. Lisa is very experienced. Excellent at her job and I don't hesitate in recommending.

I would defiantly recommend Lisa from ruler interior design having used Lisa's skills for 2 jobs now I have found her to be very professional and goes above and beyond to help achieve the desired results.

Lisa helped us with the refurbishment of a 2 bedroom Flat. Not only she brought a unique and expert angle on how to optimise the space but was very considerate and took on board the things we felt strongly about. She went above and beyond to get the project done right for us and I could not be any more grateful. The end result is stunning and was all done on a very high quality and in a very good time frame. I would not hesitate to use her expertise again should we need it. Thank you Lisa!
